I've seen Miracle Gro Perlite at Wal-mart would it be good, since it is Mircale Gro?

Just check the bag. It should tell you if they added something to it, although I'm with FireTheft on this one, it is pretty much inert and really wouldn't be able to have things added to it. I could be very wrong however, as I've seen the MG perlite at wally world but passed it up because of the name. I am picking up more perlite today, and I'll check out the MG stuff at Wal-mart and report back if I find different.

It's straight. I still just flush the shit out of it before mixing it in.

Edit: Ok, so I just read the Miracle Grow site, and they tell me that yes, the perlite IS enriched with MG liquid plant food. Now, its a very minute amount, .04-.01-.06 but when growing sensitive strains, that could be enough to burn your plants.

Don't use it! You want to control the nutrients, not let mg do it for you.

Wait, so what if I wash the perlite would it be good?

I would not use it. You have no way of knowing for sure how to control the nutrients. Maybe you washed them out, maybe you didn't. Ya know?

And NO nutes during the first two or three weeks.

I rather doubt those amounts of NPK would make any difference.

Perlite is actually a type of glass. PH is 7 neutral.

This is probably true, but like the guy in the movie says, Do you want to be the one to find out?

I would use it lol, I don't know where to get perlite in the UK. Do you think my local garden centre will have it?

As much as I love to travel to the UK, I have never visited a garden center there! The nearest I have came to that is that monster farmers market on what 'Portabello street' in London

If it is a liquid based fert they added...then one decent flush should eliminate most of it. If it is some kind of granule or time release thing...it would take too much flushing imho.
I've only ever seen unmolested perlite come in 110ltr bags. But I have seen some grow shops sell it by the scoop from a 'bulk' bin.

Perlite is everywhere. Garden stores, farm stores, variety stores and the www. I assume it's the same in the UK.
