My husband and I are going to Cannabis Cup on November 17th and we are thinking about quitting smoking for about a month before we go. What would you do? We smoke everyday and on the weekends all day. We have been married for going on 3 years and together 4 and have never gone a day without weed, this is going to be hard, but I think it will be worth it. What do you think?:what:

CC Cannabis Cup is the Festival in Amsterdam held every November by High Times. We are judges and get to judge the best weed. You do a coffeshop crawl and sample (you have to pay for the weed) and then judge. There are bands and an expo of new weed related products and stoners from all over the world. It is a fun time.
I guess we are trying to lower our tolerance. I have been smoking for 20+ years so I don't know if I could break my tolerence in a month

If I were you I wouldn't even bother taking that one month break. I'm assuming you were thinking about lowering your tolerance so the Cannabis would seem stronger (unless I'm wrong, and correct me if I am). However, you are going to the Cannabis Cup, and will be surrounded by Cannabis everywhere. Staying sober at this point wouldn't even be an option.

CC it is soooooo fun. If you smoke weed, then I think going to at least one Cannabis Cup is a requirement. This is our 2nd. We honeymooned there and now we are going for our 3rd anniversary. The cup falls a week after are anniversary. We got a lot of free weed and hash bue to telling everyone it was our honeymoon the 1st time we went so I am going to tell everyone (the coffeshops and at the expo) and hope for the same.

Ebel - I guess we just want to try and lower our tolerence, but like I said I have been smoking for 20+ years and so has my husband and I don't know if a month would even do anything. I think the only thing would be that we would be so excited to smoke after not smoking for a month and then burning the best of the best and the cup that it might highten that 1st smoke over there

well even tho youve been smoking for so long, i would go ahead with it! it will lover your tolerance a little and allow you to better critique at the judges table. i am jealous of you!

Dude, I can't believe you haven't either. You are on this site all the time, well not so much lately due to your conncetion problems, but how can you not know about the Cup? Wow, I am so disappointed in you CC. You share the same initials as the Cannabis Cup and the same first name, you aren't that far from Amsterdam, you started a thread about everyone meeting up in Amsterdam, etc etc etc. Do you ever look at seeds or strains and they say Winner of Cannabis Cup year such and such and wonder wtf they were talking about? Did you think it was a big coffee mug filled with weed? :asskick:
I can understand the whole Kool Aid thing but this is a OUTRAGE!! Off to the non-smokers corner with you CC!!! :D :D :D Just Kidding!
LIP, you better take Campbell with you next time to the Dam no matter what time of the year it is.
13, you can easily break your tolerance in a month. It begins to drop in just a few days for many people. If you go a whole month I say you treat yourselves to one time at the halfway point.

Personally I wouldn't take a break, maybe only a day or two before you were due to leave, tops. You may see a much lower resistance as a good thing, but I wouldn't because what you are going to be smoking is presumably so strong, it's going to know to for six anyway. If you got a higher resistance you can enjoy the good stuff more often, and that's what you're going for isn't it?

I think a break would be a nice way to make you appreciate the Cannabis Cup--and weed--all the more.

Hell no i wouldn't quit, not even for a day. The cannabis is so strong there, tolerance is not a problem.

i personally think you don't want to lower your tolerance if anything you want to up it we dont want judges with a low tolerance , you need to be able to tell the good weed from the super weed, with a low tolerance to start with you will not be able to judge properly.falling asleep in the first cofee shop is not good lol.

No break will ever make me appreciate weed, more.
