HEY! So, I finally got my 360 sold and I am going to buy a PS3 and at least 2 games, maybe even 3, and if GameStop has a "trade 2 next-gen titles in, get 1 free" then I might even get 4 games! So!!

I need you guys to tell me some MUST HAVE PlayStation 3 games, and/or accessories. I'll have about 100-150 bucks to spend on accessories or stuff.

What do you guys recommend??

Its not ps3 only, but you cant go wrong with Guitar Hero for ps2. IIRC, all three games for GH work on the ps3, and I have gotten more entertainment out of that series then almost any other.

resistance for fps if you like just hardcore bullets everywhere, i hear RB6 is good but lags really bad, and RB6 of course is for more strategical play

ninja gaiden sigma is pretty cool too, i'd say that for action

the darkness will keep you busy along time lol

blazing angels is pretty damn sweet too

full auto 2 sucks, it looks like it'd be great if you're into twisted metal and stuff but trust me it sucks...

not ps3 only (they're on ps2) but god of war i and ii are two must haves imho

Yeah, I ended up choosing the 60 Gig, with an extra wireless controller, then I bought The Darkness and Ghost Recon 2. I've been playing the Darkness about 3 hours and I had to force myself to start playin Ghost Recon. Anyway, I also pre-ordered, paid in full, Heavenly Sword. So in 5 or 6 days, I'll be able to go pick it up, so that's badass.

And last but not least I put five bucks down on...ASSASSIN'S CREED! Which doesn't come out for like another 2 months anyway, but heck yeah.

SO!! As we can ALL PLAINLY see, pot heads don't spend ALL their money on pot. Games are JUST as much of an addiction.

My friend told me, as I was buying all this stuff, "Damn, I'm glad I don't have a video game addiction." 10 minutes later, old boy was talkin about spending a couple grand on upgrading his, already badass, system in his, currently unworking Bravada.

good thing you chose the 60 gig.... the new 20 gigs and all the 80 gigs don't have the EE chip, which means less backwards compatibility...

if you've got any ps2 games that were too scratched to play on the ps2.. try them out on the your ps3 they might work, i did it with a few of mine and they worked (i dont know how but it worked :thumbsup:

If you didnt notice there are no hot games coming out for the ps3. All of the best games are gonna be on the 360 and the PS3 doesnt have any exclusives any more so with the 360 your not missing out on anything that was gonna be for the ps3. I think I smell an XBox fanboy. The point is, I'm not a fanboy of any system. I'll go with what's the best for me and my playing style. The 360 just didn't do it for me; none of the exclusives coming out for the 360 really interest me, and the games that are coming out for both systems...well, I'd rather play it on a PS3. Game developers have even said that, excluding the fact that it is harder to program, they have just scratched the power on the PS3. The 360 has been out, what, 2 years or so? The PS3 about a year? My point is, the 360 is tapped, been tapped, and isn't going to get any better. I'm making an investment in the PS3; it isn't great right now, but it is just going to get better, whether we're talking in raw capability or potential in games.

I'm completely satisfied with the PS3, as I'm sure every PS3 owner is. :rastasmoke:

Edit: In a related note, a friend let me borrow Fight Night 3 for the PS3, and, despite the fact that I've never, ever been into boxing games, it is AMAZING. We set it up on another friend's 64 or 68 inch big screen and it was like watching a freaking boxing match.

I just like to add the fact that 360 is the only system that has any kind of online experience. With the PS3 once you finish a game you'll sit it on the side to collect dust because it has no replay value. I tried Resistance online and it was probably the laggiest game i have ever played in my life and i have played some pretty laggy starcraft games in my day!

perhaps that isn't the right word.... everyone had huge hopes for this game and it's NOT living up to those... the game doesn't suck, it's not living up to the hype...

you know damn well i can't name as many games for ps3 as 360... and you know why too... 360 has been out a year longer... if we were using games to judge consoles i'd have to count what's out now, and what was on xbox on or before the same ammount of time being out after it's initial release... i.e. ps3's been out a year, i'd have to look at games released or before on year after 360's release...

either way, i'm not getting into this whole debate past this point. i had just made a thread trying to declare a truce.

I agree that you should never sell consoles that you obtain. There is always that game or games that eventually come out on that console that you just want to play really bad, to never have that console is one thing and you can cope, but it kills ya when you had the machine to play it and you got rid of it for whatever reasons.

I know, hell I regret things like selling my top loader NES back a few years ago. I still have an NES (2 original models) but man I would kill to have my Top Loader back again. I looked it up on the internet and the damn thing sells for 100 bucks...not worth these days when you can play the game just as good if not better than before on a rom on your PC...but it's always a regret. Same as when I traded my PSOne off after I got my PS2. I regret that.

He'll regret getting rid of his 360 down the line, something will come out or he'll get an itch to play something he had before..it's almost a guaranteed occurence.

lol.. i tried a ufc-type fight one time.. the guy just grabbed my arm and put me in an armlock.. i tapped out almost straight away.. i thought my arm was gonna snap .. it was alot harder than i though it'd be.. he was only 5.3"(im 6.2") so i thought my height advantage would help me out a bit, but it didn't.

i like it soo much more than normal boxing. it makes you much better at defending yourself imo.

ps. do you box competitively or just as a hobby?

I hate bare-knuckle! You hurt yourself just as much as you can hurt your opponent. I do like the fact that my hand speed is alot faster as opposed to wearing gloves but i fractured my knuckle last time, which is why i hate it! I hit the guy on top of the head when he ducked and i chipped a piece of bone! yup same thing happened to me thats why i stick to gloves, as i don't want to fuck up my hands. and from time to time when i hit with that hand it sends a jolt up my arm, from the knuckle i chipped or what ever happened to it + my hand puffed up big.every fight iv'e been in iv'e won even as a kid growing up, i guess having a marine as a dad made that be the case as u better not lose lol. + my dad was always a fighter as he grew up with his dad beating the shit out of him every day, so u know how that goes.

i remember 1 time one of my brothers friends wanted to borrow a game of mine, and i told him no so he said he was gonna come over and beat my ass. but he was laughing on the phone as if he was joking so i thought nothin of it, so the next nite he came over and i saw him coming up the drive way and my bro was out there and my cuz "we all lived close to each other" so i thought nothin of him being there and "btw i was sick with the flu for like a week and i was real weak"so i open the door togo outside it was nite time so i could hardly see him so he says come out and talk for a min so i was like ok.
so i went to walk out and he runs up and pushes me down so as im gettin up i say ok ok don't play cause im sick right now so i go to get up and my grandma had bricks the red heavy fire cured bricks in the driveway so as im gettin up i feel something hit me in the head as i turned over on my hands to get up so i did'nt see so i go to get up again and i see the brick in his hand so he hits me again with the brick so i roll over and get up and he hitme again and then i grabed the brick and threw it down and beat the shit out of him after all that my grandma called the fire dept around the corner and they said i had a concussion but i was'nt gonna let a punk fight dirty and win so.

lol yea my dad was 5'7 and was a motherfucker, he did'nt take shit from no one ever.he left home when he was 12 as his dad beat the shit out of him all the time, and he was gettin into trouble so the court said either u go back to reform school"that he had already been to 2 times"or go into the service so he picked the marines.

i was always the lil guy around all my friends as they were all bigger than me and when i turned 17 my dad and i had saved up like 30,000 and went out west traveling to all the states going prospecting from cali to az back to colorado and we bought some land up in the mountains around aspen and spent a year camping out and livin off the land and prospecting in the mountains and when i came back home i was bigger than all my friends they could'nt believe i grew so much i went from like 5"5 to 5"11 and now im 6'1 245lbs i don't know if it was all the working out in the mountains or what happened but thats what happened
