I have a 4ftr that is taking forever to bud. It has a very sweet smell to it. The leaves are kind of narrow. Question is can you tell if a plant is indica or sativa by the smell of the buds. The reason I'm asking is because none of my other plants smell sweet like this one. It hardly ever gets any sun. Its in a shaded area and its been in the ground since March1. Any comments welcome.

Is this a question that should be asked in the beginners section?

well your not giving much info, im guessing its sativa dominant because its taking forever to flower and the leaves are thin

Is it normal for some plants to take 4 months to flower? The lower buds are still very small. And like I said before they sprouted from the ground in early March and started flowering in mid-may.

I have another that gets plenty of sun and the buds are small. I guess has something to do with the soil or something. I really dont have a clue, but its been flowering since mid-may. I'm hoping they will have a major growth spurt, but its already sept and I plan on harvesting in mid october. Will try to get pics soon.

I awnsered in the other thread. It didnt flower for 4 months it started to flower in may and then reverted to veg and then reverted back to flowering. Just be patient.

Thanks man. Just an impatient 2nd timer. Last year was my first grow. I only had 2 plants one male/one female. I didnt know anything about removing the male plant and ended up with a few seeds, not that many though. I got about a half ounce off that one female even though I didnt feed it. This year I have 5 females and cant wait. Hopefully I can end up with at least a half pound of dried buds. You think so? There all about 4 ft tall. Thanks again
