I just started my first plant :D

But I'm wondering what soil I could use because all the stores around me have soil with added fertilizer except there was one with a little peet moss in it, but the soil is very dark. Can I use this? At what points should I watch the n2 lvls and how can I check the n2 lvls? Lol I'm excited to start this and I think its going to be a great learning experience.

Im also going with the rubbermaid box that Bodom Children Of posted, also the carbon filter. I also plan to grow in the attic, but the temps right now are like 95 up there during the afternoon/evening. Will I be able to put my plant up there? I have two 3.5inch 34.5cfs fans for my ventilation with a passive 2inch intake.

Thanks for the help everyone, and I'll post some pics when I find my camera. :hippy:

no nutes yet.....unless you want some real problems.

You said these were seedlings still??
How old? How tall? How many internodes?

You might find this soil type tough to deal with.

Thanks :hippy:

You could put it into a small window plant container, however, you want a nice root ball, so the more space you can give the roots to shoot out you will have a more stable plant and wont have to worry about root problems. You will know when the plant needs more root space. Keeping in mind that a plant will start shooting up when the roots can not go any deeper. My plants are about 4 inches tall and i just planted them in a size 5 pot. the plants have anywhere from 4-5 sets of leaf's on them.

One last thing, there are several people on here who have several posts, what i have done is gone and read some of the grow logs and noticed that there are certain people who know what the hell they are doing and are REALLY REALLY good. Once you figure out who you like and their style, look for their posts, you can find alot of the answers you are looking for by reading what they have posted already. Personally one that i follow closely is Stinkyattic, she knows what she is doing.....

Hope that helps
