confused when it comes to male plants

Hi guys, im just wondering, if you have a male plants can it still be smoked or is it just junk?

Hi stephenneill. I've found that the potency of male plants is considerably less than females. You could however make hash from what you harvest. If you like sexing your own plants, then having a big supply of seeds to set yourself up with a few mothers is also a good idea. I ent up with 1000s of Power Plant seeds once upon a time, but someone wanted all of them to conduct a project specific to their desire. I believe they grew them, sexed them, then proceeded to exchange them as mother plants with people who were finding life a chore locating clones.

the hash that would be made would be really bad. i cant garuntee it, but its just a guess.

im such a minor i only have the 1, so fingers crossed its a babe. guess i have 2 just wait and c. i think i should find out in about a week........ its very tipical of life that the only thing the man can be used for is sex LOL

I've been toking for 40 years. Yes, you can get a buzz off of male plants, maybe 1/3 of a female's. If you are out, it's better than nothing. It is also a better way to stretch out your bud, than tobacco, in my opinion. Tobacco adds addicting chemicals and changes the flavor, male adds a bit of THC- seems like a no brainer to me!

Incidentally, if it does turn out to be male (a) start a new seedling up and (b) let the male produce pollen and save some.(run a search on how to) The male will be mature long before the seedling could possibly have buds. Then, you can fertilize a single bud and have more free seeds for your next grow. Males aren't a TOTAL waste of ferts. - Granny:hippy:
