View Full Version : Not going to a party tonight. Good decision on my part?

Party starts at 9pm, my friends want to leave at 12:30am because that's when the last bus leaves. None of us have a car for the night (like it is going to be used to get back home after drinking, smoking and other stuff that will probably show up at the party)
Not to mention, it's in the next town.
My friend's are going, I said no.
I see no point in going to the next town for three and a half hours. That's even if we go at 9, which is lame cause you only show up at least an hour or two after it starts.

Good choice. If I were you guy, I would roll me a blunt and find a nice relaxing place without people, and I would smoke that blunt. I would smoke that blunt until it was no longer a blunt. Then I would do something fun, and later hear on the news that the 12:30 a.m. bus was operated by a suicide bomber and blown to bits... :wtf: ahem..

I'd go and, maybe, find a ride home or stay the night.

You chose the correct choice......no ride, no designated driver, road trip...... You did the right thing by not going. That shows a lot of responsibility and maturity.
Good job!!!

Why can't you just stay over.

I agree, responsibility and maturity are very nice qualities to hold for one that takes full advantages of nature's medicine.

in the words of the great george thoroughgood in the song I Drink Alone "Got invited to a party last night but I stayed home instead just me and my pal johnny walker and his brothers black and red." I would say that applies to bud too.

God, just shut up..
I think you did the right choice by not going, I know I would never overnight at a place holding a party. That's disaster waiting to happen. Plus a lot of houses are really dirty after a party and such.
No cars at all? How old are you?

Not having a car is not only a matter of age...
BTW, i think you did make the right choice. Its too much effort and risk for too few time in that party... enjoy your time with another things... there is always jays, bowls, blunts, bongs, brownies, and lots of fun stuff... :stoned::rastasmoke::jointsmile::rasta::abduct:

you're probably making the right choice but i would most likely go. only have one life and you should experience as much of it as you can.

I think you did the right thing. Definitly, I mean what if you couldn't find a ride home and you missed the bus? Then you're fucked for the night AND trashed. And staying over sucks, you always feel the need to help clean up and shit. Plus waking up with a hangover on a couch with 6 other people is never fun. Especially when you don't know where your pants went.

Sounds likea good choice to me. I always hated going to parties out of town when I didn't have a ride back, just in case. Fighting was always a problem at house parties are still are, and being stuck, with nowhere to stay, trashed, sucks a fatass nut.

Maybe the towns are far apart...I dont know...
Not having a car is not only a matter of age...
maybe in Brazil.. In Canada/US it's pretty standard to have a vehicle. Save for maybe if you live in a huge city and don't require one.

Right on... And Coelho, no need for disdain, that's an unfair remark... You can't help the country you were born/raised in. And yeah, it is standard for most people to have a car, but they're usually beaters because you have to work crappy-paying jobs to afford one, and insurance. So please, leave off the negative vibes...
I wouldn't have gone... One of my cousins did that with a few friends, the cousin and most girls found their way back home, but the other one was SOL, walked through a bad neighborhood and raped...
So don't wear high heels and a short skirt, man!

So..... who's gonna come bail him out when the place gets busted, or the car-load of folks trying to get back home gets busted.
You just don't get it..... Whatever you do outside of the privacy of your own home can and most probably *WILL* get you busted. The hell of it is that 90% of the time, its gonna be because of what somebody else did.... and you just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even then, if you hadn't put yourself in a position where somebody had to *DO* something about it.......
Genius is finite......A little common sense goes a long way.

Every time I have had to either act cool or run from police, its been while I was out at a party.
If I dont have a reliable means of getting the hell out of dodge when shit hits the fan, I dont go.
As an adaption of a comment a friend made to me awhile back...
A kickass party only lasts a night; sodomy lasts forever.
Having been to jail before, I can honestly say its a possibility when you get in there, and I dont want anything entering any of my exit only's.
