Difference between 'CDS marijuana' and possession of marijuana?

can someone explain this to me? I've had a couple friends get cds marijuana charges, and I've seen people get possession of marijuana..what's the difference between the two? is one a heavier fine or some crap?

howmuch did they have on them? ive never heard of a cds charge but ive heard of conspiracy to distribute which could be what it means...

well one time a friend had only about a bowl...and still got cds..
