well I live in finland and got a problem I cant really grow in my house cuz its a real small flat and I was thinkin about growin in my garage in the winter.
It may sound weird when it can get to as much as -20 in the winter but do you experts belive it can be done ?
I was thinkin of using a small closet with 2-4 lowryder 2s.
a 6x50 watt tube system and a 2 warm air ventilation fans
and some other heating system and a couple of carpets thrown over the whole thing.
Anyone belive this could work ?:pimp:

research strains that are adaptable to cold/frost resistant. i know there's a russian ruderalis that for obvious reasons would be ideal to a colder climate.

PS. In my browsing of seeds I also remember seeing a hymilian (sp?) strain adapted to colder moutainious regions and higher altitudes... They do exist. Your not going to want to grow a tropical oxacan type strain or similar. If you can manage ambient temps during dark cycles i wouldnt be as concerned with light cycles - since the lamp itself will also throw off heat. good luck:thumbsup:

Have a few more plants, use a 600w HPS, and that bugger should kick out enough heat to keep it warm...

I've been to Finland, amazing place. I went to a place called Yllas in Lapland...

build the box put the light in run it as you would and check the temp before the light is due to come back on. if you insulate well i reckon you could grow most strains mine sits around 26 deg c with light on and around 24 with light off thats with my windows open and at the mo outside is around 0 deg at night ( i leave that cupboard open most of the time as i need a new output fan).
