I have met a lot of people in this lifetime that think that being competitive is wrong...I do not..if I am going to do something that has a competitive nature about it, I am going to do my best and try to win..that is the way that I have always been...if I lose, I am not a poor sport, I will just want to do it again till I win. Mind you, I am not competitive about everything..it does not control my life, which I have seen it do to some...Remember that seinfeld episode with the old men lifting the tv's. Hilarious..I am not like them..but I do believe that 2nd place is the first loser. LOL:jointsmile:

I'm definitely competitive. I'm competitive when it comes to games and sports. I was very competitive when I was younger and participated in athletics of all sorts. I'm also very competitive with grades. I'm even competitive with myself. Always trying to beat arbitrary records I set for myself, whether it's my endurance time on the treadmill at the gym or how quickly and efficiently I can clean the living room.

I'm far less competitive about material stuff like cars or houses or clothes or money. That stuff doesn't matter, although I know an awful lot of people who believe it does.

Competition is not wrong. I think a certain degree of it is healthy. I can also lose graciously, too.

There's nothing healthy or unhealthy about it. It is merely a lifestyle. I am not competitive.

Depends on what it is I'm doing. In general am pretty competitive...but sometimes i just get pissed off, specially if the person who beats me starts rubbing it in and talking shit, then i just get stressed out

I'm competitive when it comes to sports or anything physical. I still have scars on my legs from high school lacrosse... I was wayy to intense about it! I go to the gym for two hours every day, and I always find myself looking at the people on the machines around me, seeing how long they'd been on and how high their resistance was set... Every time someone gets off a machine after being on for a shorter time than me, I have this little smug inner "haha I win" feeling going on....

But yeah, other than physically, I'm not competitive at all. I honestly don't care if someone has more money, or gets a better grade on a term paper, or anything like that. In situations like that, I tend to challenge myself, screw competing with other people.

LOL I will give you a story of how competetive I am. One time when I was in high school I was trying to beat the swim team captain who was a senior at the time. I was a freshman, and we were having this competetion in the pool on how far you could swim underwater while holding your breath. Well he had gone the farthest which was about 2 and a half lengths of 25 yard standard natatorium pool. Well when I went I wanted to beat him so bad that I went 3 frieking lengths underwater but I had pushed myself too hard and passed out and came floating up to water motionless. Everyone on the team pulled me out of the water and I regained conciousness like 2 minutes later.. and then they said hey you won ! LOL

I have been competitive my whole life. Now, it seems there's nothing that needs to be won.

I use to be highly competitive. I needed to beat everybody in everything.

Now, I mellowed out and only truly compete in team games. I compete with myself more, trying to break goals, whether it's body-building wise, biking, feeling how much pain I can sustain and simply making another semester going to school while working, seeing how far I can push my limits before going the edge.

Being competitive is animal instinct, it is in your brain from the time you are born, so yes.. I am competitive. If I am doing something, I might as well do it the best I can, and if it involves me trying harder so I can do something better ill try. I always thought of my self as more of a leader than a follower, just cause I didnt like being told what to do. Also, 9 years of wrestling greatly increased it. Personally something like wrestling, or MMA is more competitive than normal team sports. In a sport like that its you competing with yourself, and one other person And I always tried my best to be at the top of my sport.

So yeah, Im competitive, but Im not an asshole about it. Its more of an in my mind sorta thing.

I'm not really competitive at all anymore. Competition is usually defined as comparing yourself to others, and I have found that that's just not a good way to judge yourself. Why limit yourself to only being just better than the other guy?

I do find it hard to resist fucking with people that obviously are, however. Maybe that does make me competitive in a weird way...

My motto is "you just can't win", like the Papa Roach song Obsession. I try to teach others this by winning some petty situational competition (usually on the road - yet to meet the mofo that's crazier than me, lots of challengers though) then letting someone else 'beat' me.

It's my way of making a better world. Competition is generally a pointless hothead pursuit.

My competitiveness is subtle. You won't know it if I am competing with you, in other words.

Very. I feel i have to win everything. Games, arguments, sports, fights - but i think it's because im actually used to winning.

I supose it can be a bad thing, but it doesnt bother me. If i go for something i finish it.

Yes, to a certain extent.
If I put any effort into something, I want to do it well, and I guess there's a vain part of me that wants to do it well enough to get recognition for it.
