mods please leave this here... it just seems to be a lounge topic more than being shuffled off to sports

Chewed up Michael Vick cards sell for $7,400 online, proceeds to go to Humane Society - NFL - Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-vick-chewedcards&prov=ap&type=lgns)

i personally would love to meet this woman, as it's another confirmation all hope of the human race ISN'T lost

I for one think that this has been blown out of proportion. I think that we as human beings are above the barbaric act of setting dogs loose upon each other. If it is violence you crave, simply watch a boxing match or CNN.

of course it's been blown far outta proportion, but atleast someone managed to find a way to give back to the animals using the situation in a positive way.... i would have never thought of the idea myself... nor would i have imagined it'd grow so quickly and extensively...

Hey Rafer Alston of the Houston Rockets just stabbed a man. It's just as bad if not worse than Michael Vick's crimes.

That's where I don't see the point. These 'dogs' don't understand what this woman is doing. I suppose it is the thought that counts, but other than that it's a little insane, in my opinion.

well you are entitled to your opinion.

but it's not about them knowing it or not, it's the fact that she's found a way to give to 'them' even if it isn't the actual dogs involved, there is still a need to donate to animal charaties and such, as they get even more over populated then human-based charaties..

i just think it's good she found a way to turn a really bad event, into a beneficial one, that benefits someone/something other then them self (there is no shortage of people who will monopolize a situation to obtain personal gain)

I think it's great she did it for a good cause. I don't think it's in good taste.

In my opinion, throat slashing is infact worse than stabbing - although i supose if it's a proper job it's good to make sure you throw both of those actions in with the mix.

Why did he do it? Or dont we know? Just random?
