Arhg! I have 4 kids in a good sized hopper, I'm about 3 weeks into flower and I'm running out of room fast. They are bagseed, looking
great, first grow, plants are 24" in 2 gal pots

What have other people done with this case?

LST?
larger grow box?
height extension to rubbermaid box? (perhaps lawn edging?)
replant into one grow in the tub?

Suggestions would be great as I have until the weekend until they are in too close to the lights...

sure, this is generally what they look like, I'm actually in the process of building a 4x2x4 cab, which i hope to move into shortly, so that will be good :D

the total height of the rubbermaid is around 36", and the plants are right around 24", but with the lights down and the slanty sides of the box, the round pots don't fit in very well.... the new cab is done, just painting it now, and trying to figure out the best ventaliation for the new cab.

Would it be possible to just take the main cola and bend the whole thing down so that the plant looks like an upside down "J"? And tie it down with a rope? Then would the top grow DOWN rather than UP? This was just a theory that I've had, even though I've never grown before!

yea you can do that but you don't want to go to far to fast. I don't know too much about lst thats what its called. there is some good pages on lst that I have seen floating around here. try to search lst to see how far you can go without harming the plant....

-UPDATE-
I grew concerned that any which way, I'd be running out of in the rubbermaid box soon, so I whipped up a 4hx4lx2w cabinet with wheels.

The girls are much happier in there, and now I shouldn't have as much trouble with shrinking area. The rubbermaid is a great starter, and with LST would have worked great, but I don't have the correct timeframe to LST at the moment.

I've also now got room for the clones that are about ready to move in as well, just in time.....

I mean really just how STEALTHY is a rubbermaid anyhow? :bong:

yeh, I'm stoked about the new cab and its vast size.

Basically my rubbermaid took up the same space, but had too many corners and such that don't allow for large plantage...

Also I installed a kitty litter scrubber to complement my smaller carbon scrubber, and now all the smells are gone...the plants and clones are now much happier, and its almost back to set and forget mode.....

yeh, its either that or for a curing tub when the harvest is done. I built the cab so that I can also add a middle divider to seperate the cab into 2 sections. A big improvement in the growing fun....
