Hi this is my first time growing. I was given this plant by a friend and was told it was "cheese" She is about 22 inches tall now. I put her on 12/12 light just over 2 weeks ago and have a fan going for ventilation, I am using a 18 inch flourescent tube over her and a reading lamp with an energy saving bulb to the side. This is not a greaty pic cause it was done with a camera phone.
What do you think does she look healthy? How much longer do you all reckon she will take? Any tips would be great.

Cheers.

4 to 5 weeks depending on genetics. What kind of light are you using? You'll need more light for the later stages of flowering.. or at least ull want it. Do you keep it by the window? That would probably help, the light is 12/12 outside (where im at). Look for some big 40w CFLs they should be the equivalent of a 150w halogen bulb. They usually are around 2500k-3500k and are pretty good for flowering. Are u giving her flowering nutrients? and what kinda pot/potting soil are u using?

I ahve got the plant in a cupboard i made woth 3 sides and a hood lined with white reflective card, the hood is off an old aquarium with a 15w flourescent tube and a 60w energy saving bulb, I was given some nutes offa a friend who used to grow but started her on water from a tropical aquarium cause i was assured it was good( no chlorine, neutral ph and full of goodnes for plants)??? was thinking of trying to fix another 60w energy bulb into the hood too????

I'm not sure on this one but I don't think energy saving bulbs are any good for growing? I know they're not incandesent, but are they the same as CFL's?

Well a 60w CFL would put out alot of light... is it a swirly tube with a bulky ballast thing that screws in the socket? It may be a 60w equivalent CFL which is really like 12 watts. Can you get a picture? Lighting is a huge factor in yeild/potentcy/taste. If you have the money I would consider HPS lighting. It is extremely worth it.
