Okay.. so alot of you may know about my situation at home from previous posts. I live in a three bedroom house and i have one room. The other two are taken by my ex, and another guy roomate. They have a friend that desperately wants to move in but can't cause all the rooms are taken and I know damn sure that the other two guys won't share a room. Hes really close to him but personally I can't fucking stand him. Hes the biggest obnoxious two face I've ever met. Seriously think of the annoying oaf in high school that thought he was funny but everyone really couldnt fucking stand him. THATS THIS GUY. So Ive been noticing that little by little hes been moving some of his shit in. Not really any of his clothing but he has brought a box full of all his video games, and a huge tower of all his cds. Thats all in the living room, this guy is ALWAYS HERE. He sleeps on the couch about 2 to 3 times a week and is here all damn day long when he isn't working. Im really starting to lose it. I really want to tell the landlord. In this house we don't base rent on how many bodys are living in the house but by room.

make him cough up on the rent if he's there so much, or move outta there and let him take your room, on the extreme side

Yeah if it bothers you that much, which I could see that situation bothering me a lot... stick it out till your lease runs up. But in the mean time, look for another room mate and move out to another apartment/house.

First of all why on earth are you living with an ex? Ex's are ex's for a reason!

I would move out for that reason alone but since this guy is mooching off of all of you I'd move out anyways just to get into a more fair environment. The fact that no one else is making him cough up the rent tells me that they want him there.

Seriously I would start looking for a better place and start fresh and new!

yeah, thats a good point, if no one else is pissed about him, ever consider the fact that perhaps your ex and his roomie are passive-agressively trying to drive you out so that the mooching guy can move in?

I was thinking that actually.. Honestly though now its the principle of the situation. If they want to live together so badly, then they should just get a apartment on their own. Im not going to give up a master bedroom with my own bathroom with no utilities just cause they want it.

telll him to cough up a 1/4 of the total rent of thehouse, if he refuses go for it, tell the land lord... it's your house too so you should have a say in who or who does not live there..

sprinkel itching powder on him every time he sleeps on the couch, he may then think the house is infested with bugs and may not be so inclined to stay so often lol.

ive never tried it but they say if you immerce someones fingers in warm water whilst asleep it makes them piss themself, if he kept pissing on the couch i'm sure your housemates would soon tell him to piss off.lol.

me and a friend tried that on my brohter once... he woke up, beat my friends ass and tried to destroy his playstation.. lmao... you need a heavy sleeper for it to work, and of course they have to have a semi-full bladder (works best on drunks)

Damn girl I would love to have you for a roomy.............But, it does sound like these guys are trying to steal your room. Have you ever had problems with seen him and another girl, in the house or vise versa? I try to stay freinds with my ex's too but of coars it is not always possible, but always even if I have no feelings for her, if I see her with another guy it makes me sick. This only happens for a couple weeks then im fine but I couldnt live in the same house after the break up it would boogie woogie on my mind

I don't see any point in moving out anyway. Have you spoken with the landlord yet? If that doesn't work, then torment him until he breaks. You'll relieve some stress and force him to take some action. Works out great for everyone!

hmmmm......

i would tell them ALL that this is not a bed and breakfast and there are 3 rooms, for 3 tenants, then i would seriously tell the landlord if it continues......it is beyond what is right and what you want, but liability as well....what if this clown wrecked the house or put holes in the wall, then you and the other 2 people are left holding the bucket on that one....or there are now increased utilities and you are all in trouble or even kicked out for having a "more than guest" in the dwelling....good luck....

i'd make him my bitch as long as he's not paying the rent. if he eats your food or sits in your spot, make him pay. but yeah, i'd try to move if i were you. staying with an ex ain't usually a good idea. you'd probably do better to find a single roommate anyway, or at least somebody who's not gonna let all their freinds mooch off you.

It sounds like you were the one that got all these parasites into this place, and you're basically just being to damn nice even after you've had enough BS and they are going to take advantage till the bitter end.

Stand up for yourself. Get on your landlord's good side and consider putting ads in the paper and putting the word out with your more respectable freinds that you need some new roomates. Just because you smoke dope doesn't mean you have to tolerate frat boys.

I pretty much totally agree with deadhead65 except that you should stand your ground and make a fresh start right there. Kick all the bums out.

Be in control about it, though. Be methodical. Find actual reasons you want them gone, and if these are young dope smoking guys, the reasons could easily number in the thousands - and write them down. For example, leaving the toilet seat up doesn't really count, that's to easy. But I'd bet there's piss all over the floor near the toilet. That translates into "clean roomate wanted".

Unfortunately, you'll probably wind up with similar roomates in the future unless you make some real efforts to raise your standards in the people you surround yourself with.

Shitty Roommate - By Martin Random (http://www.wyseguys.com/shittyroomate.asp)

Some quotes:

He left a dead cat he found somewhere in our oven for a week and forgot about it. I discovered it later.

He owned 6 tarantulas, and would let one run around free-range. He assured me he had "tamed it." I assured him he was a stupid fuckhead.

All from page one.

Ya kinda like my roomates. One guy is bipolar and is constantly bitching about money and how his life sucks...and the other dude doesn't have a job and pays his bills by selling coke and weed.
