Hello folks... Haven't seen this in my short time here so I thought I would pass it along for those that find such stuff interesting.

Warning! Unless your sure of your abilities do not try this as if you make an error in judgment YOU CAN DIE!!. If you read this and yell to your bud to put a pot of water on the gas stove and you'll make some hash, then you should not be even thinking about it.

This is serious and can kill you , burn your house and your little dog too.

With that said heres a PDF to peruse at your leisure

I take no responsibility for the use of this information .. You've been warned...:buzz_saw:
:wtf:

Butne isn't properly selective for THC extraction. Chloroform or hexane are better choices

Ive read that acetone is even better.

Low boiling point solvents are ideal because they are cannabidiol soluble (mix with THC very readily) and do not strip off many of the other contaniments on the plant material i.e. chlorophyll

The downside is the high cost of extraction solvents, volatility, etc. But they do make for very nice extractions if done properly.

Lower bp makes life easier. The suitability of the solvent's selectivity is a largely a function of its polarity compared to the polarity of the solute. The polarity of chloroform is very similar to that of THC.

Three cheers for chloroform!
