I plan to start growing a small plant around my house sometime soon. I live in BC so I rarely ever get weed with seeds in it. I saved a few seeds from a bag I recently got and I'm wondering how I can make them "growable" again. I've heard concepts of using wet paper towel or something like that. Any idea?

Also, roughly how many seeds should be planted? Thanks a lot.

:D

I soak them in a dixie cup of distilled water for 24hrs and than I put them in a wet papertowel in a zip lock baggy to hold the wetness. After they germ you can just place them about a 1/4 inch under the soil and keep the top of the soil damp till you see something coming up and than ease up on the water. That first week do not let that top soil dry out after that be careful on the watering so the roots dig down looking for water. Goodluck

your seedlings should not be kept wet, or they will be killed off by Pythium Wilt (damp-off) ... and, do NOT fertilize for at least two weeks ... :smokin:

just put ur seeds on a plate covered with paper towel(2 sheets) and spray untill tissue is wet not dripping then put another 2 sheets on top spray lightly and sandwhich with another plate put in a warm place and in 1-4 days little white roots

check every 12 hrs for sprouting and keep moist

when poppin seeds pop a min of double wat u need to account for males and non runners

Never had that happen to me but than again I keep them in a dome for the first week.
