Well, I've managed to save up about 150 for a bong, and I'm looking around for a good beginner bong. (I haven't owned an actual glass bong yet :()
Here's a couple that I found in my price range -
Weed Star Glass Bong - Big Mama 2 (Ice) - Online Shop (http://everyonedoesit.com/online_headshop/Weed_Star__Big_Mama_2_Ice.cfm?iProductID=4360)
Weed Star Glass Bong - Bomb Jack 2 - Online Shop (http://everyonedoesit.com/online_headshop/Weed_Star__Bomb_Jack_2.cfm?iProductID=4363)
Also I'm looking to get an ashcatcher, but do not know much about them, or what to look for in them.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and happy toking :rastasmoke:

When I had a bong with a carb it wouldnt even clear all the way and it was a disapointing bong experience. Look for one with a slider so you can get the whole bong to clear in a quick shot.

Thanks everyone for the advice! After looking around for a bit I found a Roor bong with no carb for $190. Roor Custom Little Sista Icemaster 3.2 â?? Big Sista - Online Shop (http://everyonedoesit.com/online_headshop/Roor_Custom_Little_Sista_Icemaster_32_.cfm?iProduc tID=4425)
Should I go with this and get other parts later when I have the money?
Also looking for other trusted sites if you know any!

Would a G-Spot - Ash Catcher 18.8 - Online Shop (http://everyonedoesit.com/online_headshop/GSPOT_Ash_Catcher.cfm?iProductID=4062) work well with the Roor (Roor Custom Little Sista Icemaster 3.2 â?? Big Sista - Online Shop (http://everyonedoesit.com/online_headshop/Roor_Custom_Little_Sista_Icemaster_32_.cfm?iProduc tID=4425))? I'll probably eventually get a Roor one but would there be a better one to get for less than $60?

Well... I realized I'm not going to have enough cash for a Roor just yet, and maybe I don't deserve a Roor for my first bong anyways :smokin:
So I'm gonna go with a setup like this -
Weed Star Glass Bong - Big Mama 2 (Ice) - Online Shop (http://everyonedoesit.com/online_headshop/Weed_Star__Big_Mama_2_Ice.cfm?iProductID=4360)
Weed Star Ashcatcher 18.8 - Online Shop (http://everyonedoesit.com/online_headshop/Weed_Star_Ashcatcher_188.cfm?iProductID=4603)
I think I'm just going to put a rubber stopper in the carb hole.
Also, I wanna get Molino 2-Part Downpipe - Online Shop (http://everyonedoesit.com/online_headshop/Molino_2Part_Downpipe.cfm?iProductID=3400) for my ashcatcher, but any ideas how I could cut it to fit, or any places I could go?
Thanks again for help :)

I agree with Smokey Jay. Save up a bit.
Don't be stupid and buy something because you can afford it now. Wait two extra weeks and buy something you'll be proud of.

Save your cash and get a nice piece with a slider for sure. I've smoked out of that particular RooR and it's quite nice.

man, those bongs are so... industrial, you really want to be smoking outta somthing like that for years to come? For $150 you could get this piece of art Shivadas Glass: 12"-14" 50mm waterpipe (http://www.shivadas.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SG&Product_Code=TG4&Category_Code=W)

chances are youre going to drop it and break it while stoned ....for your first bong id get the big mamma! looks cool, holds more h2o (dont forget to add ice) and me personally, i like a carb better than a slide...so much easier!

index (http://WWW.SHOWMEGLASS.COM) EHLE, quality glass on glass tubes made in germany!cheaper than a roor but still very good quality, available wiht or without carb holes, in many different sizes, and id bet the joints are better quality than the weed star stuff.

Definately get something with a slide. And my opinion is that you should go cheap for your first one. I dont want it to break your little heart when one of your jobless friends accidentally drops it.

if its going to break, it will break. Whether he buys it now or down the line its still same deal. I have my bong of 3 years and its still in 1 piece. Its not like your buying a car and will dick the shit outta it. Your buying an apparitus for smoking, theres not really much you can do to it to break it besides the obivious. Just be careful and take it from there. Just remember ROOR's are the best in the scene and they make great products. Also, save up a little more and go for the gold, don't settle for anything less. You'll thank yourself in the long run. Or be smart and buy a vaporizer. :D
