Day 59 of flower.
Starting approx. 4-5 days ago, a couple of fan leaves (1/2 way up the plant) started to go a bit yellow with a bit of purplish/brown in the center of the leaves. It happened so quick I didn't notice whether or not it (the yellow) went from tips of leaves-back or backs-to-tips.
Being a bit lazy, I just assumed it was a nitrogen def. since it has been in flowering with nearly no N for a couple of weeks now. (I just checked my soil pH too, right at 6.5-6.6) I think it was 3 days ago I fed with some N added, just as much as I had given it in veg. There hasn't been any changes in light position, weather, temps., etc. as far as I can think of.
Last night I noticed some leaves were becoming a little dry and they were curling every-which-way, more browning, and it looks like necrosis has started at a couple spots on the leaves (mostly at the "base" of fan leaves.) Today, they have done this......

I think you threw off the PH with your ferts you gave it, you appear to have several nute defs the wild leaf twisting also makes me think its Ph
complete a soil runoff PH test.......
with PH corrected water (6.5-6.8PH ) pour enough water in the pots so the water runs out the bottom of the pot ...collect & test the PH of this runoff water....
If the PH reading is out of optimum range 6.5-6.8 PH, you need to flush your plant.
Flush with PH corrected water, till in optimum PH range, 3 times the volume of the pots is the rule of thumb but may require much more flushing if the rootball is thick & sour
EG: 1 gal pot = 3 gal. flush
add 1/2 strength FLOWERING nutes to the last gallon of the flush.

Better lighting (less yellow) on the photos would help ALOT. What exactly did you give? Keep in mind....I'm not a soil grower... :(

how are you arriving at this soil PH reading 6.5-6.6

yea, theres no way that your ph is @ 6.5-6.6
my plants used to look like that & my ph was way down low.....5.3.
now they look great thanx to Ganja.

Rapitest mini pH Tester
10.00$ at the local hardware store. I check the soil an hour or two after I water.

how are you able to determine after the decimal point?
isnt that the color coded tester?

Correct. The color-coded one.
I estimated. The bar landed just a bit higher than right in between 6-7.

did you do the soil ph runoff test like Ganja said?
and the way he said to do it?

well,
at day 59, you should be really close to harvest, so you should only be giving water or add some sweet for flavor enhancement.
MOst of my fan leaves die off way sooner and my crop is always great.
You're doing everything right except relaxing and enjoying your ladies to finish up. Look how many redish hairs you have, you're right there, so have some fun.
Enjoy your smoke my friend.

Bagseed. No flowering time expectations. Will begin flushing today. (Top trichomes are gettin' nice and cloudy.) Thanks for the help!

Thanks bro! I knew fan leaves died off sometimes, I thought they would just yellow though, not turn brown/rot/twist, as well.

Sorry, I'm sticking with Ganja on this one....that does not look like normal aging to me. It DOES look like a ph issue....perhaps you are seeing the results of it rather than ph issues happening at the moment.
I think you did something to them with your last feeding (the extra N is not something you want during blooming) and that's what the result is.
You are close enough to harvest that I don't think you can really hurt the buds at this point but I'd keep a careful eye. :)

That's what I was beginning to figure. 16-16-16 probably wasn't the best choice for a flowering feeding. A bit overzealous with the yellowing leaves.....

its been my experience that each time Ive had a ph issues, that late in bud......... it did seriously affect my resin production, and there was very little smell to the plants, I grow mainly the same strains over & over so I know the diference
I have a meter like yours, I have a chemy Ph test kit, a $50 PH pen & a PH truncheon that cost $160.00 I can tell you those meters you have arent accurate, & cause you grief like your going thru now.
I wont even rely on my ph truncheon the chemy test is always needed as a backup test kit, when the plants are crying
look into a soil runoff test as posted above
