ok i have a 400 watt hps goin on my single girl right about a three weeks into flowering. i grew her through veg with incondecent lights cause i could not afford MH and she experienced alot of stretching. as the pics show the upper leaves are pretty yellow in the middles of them and all cupped and curling every wich way. are they getting too much heat or light, or r they too close to the lights????? any replys are greatly appreciated..

The light is about 2' - 2 1/2' over the plant right now which is at the top of the closet. Since my plant is in a makeshift pot it is very high off the ground and canot be lowered. Is my plant going to continue to grow upwards to the light and get more burnt if it is about 3 weeks into flowering or will the plants be ok??

yeah your going to have issues ....an HPS lite above, your plant is high off the ground up in the heat zone & you have heat from below rising......... from the hot water heater, can you find another closet than a hot water heater closet?
what are the temps in that room

the thing is ive had the large plant in a soda cooler from birth, i didnt think she was going to get that tall, but since i veg'd w/ incondecant's she experienced alot of stretching. i would transplant too a pot that could be lowered but i dont think doing that 3 weeks into her flowering would be a good idea. here are a few more pics that show how tall she is and also my lighting predicament.

ok i managed to cut away about 8 inches off the bottom of my makeshift pot, thus lowering the top of my plant an ever so important 8 inches away from their 400 w lights. now my lights are about 2 feet above the top. Please stop growing up plant....
my fan leaves have also been battleing a case of crispy brown tips that curl upward latelty, if anyone has an idea what is causing this along with a solution i wouild appreciate some advice. thnx to all who read and or reply

i have a needle type Ph tester that i bought from lowes for like 6$, my soil has stayed inbetween 6.8 and 7.2 throughout the whole grow. also i have been using FoxFarm Tiger Bloom since the start of flowering which says that it helps to keep the Ph down, so im not sure it is my Ph level...
that plant looks quite supple to me maybe you could try bending it a little to stop any more hight issues?

The reason i never bent it was b/c this is my first plant and i didn't know about bending, plus it is already flowering so shouldn't i leave it unbent?? Also how far should i keep my 400w lights away from the tops in order to keep from burning again??
