Possibly the greatest band I have ever heard. They are a post-rock group form Canada. The genre consists of bands like Explosions in The Sky, Mono, Mogwai, and others. They are absolutely breath taking, and a expierence like no other. There first and arguably their best is F#A#(infinite sign). The songs on their albums range from 12 mins. to 25 mins. SO you have to be able to commit some time to them. They are worth it, especially when your high. Some peopel may be turned off by this Instrumental genre(yep there is no words, just instruments) but for me it took a couple more listens to really enjoy this band, not 1 or 2, but like 4 or 5 times more and it really hits you what music can be.
Songs of Recommendation:
The Dead Flag Blues
Moya
East Hastings

My favorite album by them is Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven. Not my favorite band on the post rock genre, that'll go to Do Make Say Think.

Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antenna to Heaven is great, listening to Sleep or Storm during a session is fuckin incredible. Too bad i listened to that album soo much. IMO its far superior than anything else theyve done. (not saying the other shit isnt good just saying lift your fists is crazy)
as far as the best post rock (instrumental) band goes my vote goes to SubArachnoid Space. thcbong you should deffinatley check em out if you havent heard.
