Recently I decided to get new goodies for my Roor, and opted for a diffuser and ashcatcher from EDIT.
Most ppl say that both of these together would serve to cool the smoke, and generally make it smoother. I find this to be the case, and in fact, it actually makes the bong much quieter, also. The 'blurbing' sound is greatly reduced as a result of having these extra parts on there. I know that some people like the noise a bong makes, but if you're trying to be discreet, this would be a good "muffler" to add to your piece! :)
What I am wondering is if anyone has noticed that having the diffuser and/or ashcatcher affects the high, or not? For me, it *seems* to allow your lungs to take more smoke, thus you would get "higher", but is there any common consensus on this?
Anyway, for anyone why has not yet added at least a diffuser to their bong, you'll find that is definitely makes quite a difference, esp. with super cold ICE water... It's heaven!
