:hippy: I have one plant at home with me. It is outdoor, don't remember what strain. It was a gift. It is outside in my shady private garden. It only gets about an hour or two of direct sunlight a day, since I go it. Some one gave me a mirrored closet door. I placed it so it intensifies the light and focuses it on the plants. I also have strawberries, lemon balm, & oregano. The girl showed white hairs last week. Should I remove the mirror?

Should I remove the mirror?No.
You don't want to reduce the amount of light they are used to getting.

I agree with psteve, don't take away the mirror let nature take its course and leave it out till harvest. Why does it get only 2 hours of direct light a day?

I live in town. It is a small garden surrounded by buildings and trees. My front door opens on it. I guess I could turn it into a kind of courtyard, but now it is a little overgrown. The sun, if it even comes out, only shines into the garden for two hours in the afternoon. There is ambient lighting all day. At night, there is one string of xmas lights for my saftey. The mirror just reflects the light back onto the plants.
I am astounded.

Do not beleive anything this person says. Her mother called her a pathological liar.

i am not sure of your question, but you wont want to move any of the little bit of lighting that it has, if the mirror helps to direct light there then dont move it. mj and full sun plants should get 6 or more hours of direct light, at least that is the guidelines for FULL SUN as i have read on other gardening sites.

Is the mirror reflecting the sunlight during your shaded time giving you more hours of sun or are you just intensifying the sun during the 2 hours that you're already getting sun? The plant looks healthy so keep doing what you're doing.

Actually, I hadn't clicked on the thumnails. Now I can see the damage from the mirror on the leaves. It's yellowing and spotty!

It just intensifies the 2 hours of light. Those spots are now gone. i think it rained the night before. Surrounded by redwoods, so there is always some moisture in air.
