I sweating and pretty nervous not of being caught, but setuping up my first grow. Scared of faliure. I own 2x1000 hps lights only reason I have 2, a guy gave me a deal I couldn't refuse. I have a 4 bedroom home I will use for biology only nothing else. I will use furniture for decaration so it won't be suspicious. One room veg.basement or spare room for flower.
Will 2000WATTS draw to much power? I will use fulors for veg and will also run a AC unit. What size fan will I need to cool of the 2x1000hps lights?365cfm fan? (depending on room size) Plan on having 15 plants ,in 12 to 20 gallon pots.
Did I make mistake by taking the deal on the 2x1000 hps systems? It cost me $350 one was new the other was used. I will use co2 boost in bucket during flower as well. Thinking of using heavy harvest for bloom! Can anyone give me a good organic nut for veg please! yield range 2oz per plant with a 1 month veg time and 8 to 9weeks flower. Molases will be used for the last 2 weeks of flower. coca husk for soil. Mylar or white paint? I like mylar it looks sweet!!:rasta:
Strains

SKUNK X KUSH

If your only using the house to grow that won't look like a lot of power usage at all. I'd definitely use the mylar its cheap and way better than white paint.IMO the co2 boost bucket is a waste of money, after you have bought 2 you could have bought your own tank and regulator for the same price and its cheap to fill them.

Watts are watts......2000 watts of light uses ~2000 watts of power. Or 12/12=12khs's per day, per light, or ~ 360 kwhs/month.
With that kind of room I would personally go with 5 gallon bucket DWC or drip to waste setup with the Coco. You certainly do not need 15-20 gallon pots to get 2 z's a plant with 2 1000 watt H.P.S. But, I am not an advocate of dirt farming unless its veggies, so what the fuck do I know.
One thing I recently learned about mylar is it reflects heat as well as light. I read a post here by Ms. Weedhound I do believe and she was having heat issues and switched from mylar to flat white paint and resolved the heat issue, and did not notice any difference in plant health, or growth.
Your fan size is dependent on the size of the room. To calculate your fan size, its LxWxH to get cubic feet. You want a fan that exchanges the air every 2-3 minutes. (ex. you have a 600 cu. ft. room, a 365 cfm fan would be fine). If you have air cooled hoods that would help you also with controlling your heat.
C02 unless done under the right conditions is about as useless as tits on a bull in my book. Right conditions meaning higher temps, SEALED room, plenty of lighting (you have that), a sensor, and a delivery system. I'm sure I am going to get told I am wrong in saying this, but such is life.
Depending on your budget, you could do all kinds of neat shit with that much area.
Need to learn how to keep mothers and clone, that way you eliminate down time (waiting on vegging) between crops. FLower/harvest/move vegg'd plants right into flower room/flower/harvest/etc.......
Oh, and I'd have a peek inside the breaker box. Keep your phuckin hands and screwdrivers out of there, but look at the breaker sizes. If they are only 20 Amp per room, then running 2 1000 watters off one breaker is NOT possible. 1000 watters draw ~9 amps @ 110volts, therfore you would have 18 Amps on a 20 Amp breaker, thats a no-no.
AND, if you need any electrical work, get a certified electrician to do it, please. Tell him you are going to put a workshop in that room or some shit in the event he is a nosy prick and wants to know why you want 2 or 3 30 Amp breakers installed for that room.
BTW, I am UF alumni:D

Ordinarilly I would agree with anyone who advises getting an electrician. However, in this instance, I think heavy duty extension cords would work quite well. When you figure he's not going to really be using the house, he'll have circuits coming out the ying-yang and 12ga extension cords would be better than modifying a rental house. (And way fewer $ than an electrician cuz we don't work cheap! :D)

I agree with PC, and it will work just fine. My preference though is to give someone like PC a few c-notes to come set it up right and then I know there is not going to be a problem. I am a perfectionist asshole. I cannot stand shit not being done as it should be. Therefore, dont pay much attention to me because I can be anal about things.
With the kind of room you got, we could get you rockin. U need to get yer ass in the hydro section and figure out what would work for you from there. Maybe DWC or something. At minimum Coco with drip to waste. U could grow 8 TREES and have a years supply, easily.
Remember, less plants grown bigger is better, at least in my opinion. Plus, I am lazy.:rasta:
Holler with your questions. I'll help anyway I can, as will many others. You got a lot of folks here who know HOW to grow.
Gator at heart, see ya in the Swamp. And I'll bet ya a lap dance on it..........LOL
Have a good one,
