Please turn off the caps lock, OW!
That plant needs a bigger pot, possibly with lighter soil, as it is showing a bit of overwatering droop.
Go for a 3 gallon pot this time.

I wonder if you could get away with a smaller pot if more perlite is added to the soil mixture?

That's an interesting question- you would be heading in the direction of a soilless mix and would be able to treat it more like hydro, so your intuition may very well be correct, but honestly I would not recommend that just because it's kind of a big unknown, and in dirt, your roots would very much like to spread out.

I have been into experimentation with different soil mixes and fertilizers. One of the next experiments I want to try is adding 25% perlite to a commercial store brand, a good quality one. See what happens. I have 2 clones to try it out on. I am rather limited in space so that is the reason for my interest.

I predict you will be happy wiht the results. You will have to water more often but your root growth and oxygenation will be good.

Just out of curiosity, where did you get your clones?

I cloned them off of plants I already had going.
