with a tall clone how long til inducing budding

im gonna be getting the clones from an already budding plant how long til i can put them on a 12/12 cycle

Technically, you can put it on 12/12 whenever you want. However, you're going to want to wait for the clones to build a stable stalk and a few branches. So you'll probably end up waiting 2-4 weeks. Basically, put them on 12/12 when it looks like they would be handle the bud weight, and about half of your desired height. Since we aren't there to see the plants, only you can be the judge as to wether or not they are ready.
