My question is would it be at all stressful to a small plant to alternate between the sun and CFL's? Sorry if this is a stupid Q, but I REALLY dont want to hurt my little "Inuets";)

Yes, there's almost no way to do that without also introducing photoperiod stress- it's hard to not forget, or come home late, etc.
lol... a few little Alaskans to keep you happy for your long downeast winters...

I think a CFL would almost seem like a cloudy day, compared to bright sunlight ... not to mention, the unnecessary exposure to insects ... :smokin:

Thanks! I just figured the 10,000 lumens may give me a boost, but NO FUCKING WAY am I going to push my limits with THIS batch, as I'm still not done crying over my recent male encounters! Although, I would be pretty psyched if I was a breeder for the quite resinous 4 top pretty boy!

do you mean sort of a mini greenhouse?
theoretically you could use cfls in a greenhouse like atmosphere to add veg hours in flower season. why not... but i wouldn't screw with an old plant unless you don't care. but i have done something similar a long time ago with flourescents in a sun room... but if you mean physically move the plant from one to another... i wouldn't.
if you are in a controlled area, just run the lights before the sun dims, until desired off time... but i don't think you are talking about that...
EDIT: You should only attempt it if you have deceant, at the least, additional light.
but i did it because i wanted to veg the plant longer, due to a late start, for the plant i wanted... but i started the plant in the sunroom, and added the light before the sun got near 12/12...
i gave them the longest hours early OF COURSE, then backed it off as time went, until i was ready, and then i just had the lights run during daylight hours, to make sure the winter sun had some help... it was a really early grow for me, but considering all... it worked great
