Spider mites question

I have spider mites on some leaves but I am 65 days into flowering with nice buds but hairs are not red yet completely. Question: There is no webbing just white spots on leaves but leaves are few due to budding. Can the mites screw up and eat the buds, do the mites die when the plant is harvested or am I smoking mites. I figure I am going to manicure those leaves anyway. It is a hydro system and the buds look ok.
Experts please advice.
