Hey whats up this thread is for the contact lenses users. When placing the contact lenses in your eyes, what does it initially feel like right when the contact lenses is placed on the eye?
I am interested in getting them but I have failed in putting them in because of the blinking reaction. Im not nervous but its a natural thing to happen. I know I must overcome the natural blinking action to insert the lenses in..

you get used to it, it really doesnt feel like much of anything... you feel the layer of fluid then you blink and it's released and they're on, as your eyes get used to them they may get a little irritated the first week or so or sore if you wear them for long periods of time, but eventually you'll get used to them

When I first started with contacts it took me like 45 minutes to get those things in but now it's just a few seconds. It just takes a while to get used to. And yeah sleeping with them in is not that healthy I don't think :rasta:

i drew a pic of how i put them in...it makes it so you cant blink
say your putting in the left contact:
put the contact on your left pointer finger, and hold down your bottom eyelid with your left middle finger. hold the top eyelid up with your right middle finger (or pointer if you prefer) and just pop it in.
make sure its not inside out though or itll be irratating and you will have a hard time getting it out because youll blink/squint and your eyes will water
when it goes in at first it feels like a drop of water then you blink and its gone.
the people say not to sleep with em in but ive worn a pair of contacts for over a week straight without takin em out. they only feel a little dry for a minute when you wake up but if your rub your eyes they water a little and the contacts feel as good as they did when you first put em in.

Yup what ChronicJoint drew and wrote is pretty much what I do. You could also just lean back a bit when you put them in so its not as likely they fall on the floor or something.
I've heard people say if you sleep with them they can roll back into the back of your eyes and can never be gotten out.. I've slept with them heaps, about 3 nights in a row max I guess, can anyone confirm/deny this?

Cool! So when you insert the contact lenses it feels like a drop of water going into the eye.... Do you press the contact lenses onto the eye? If yes how does the eye feel?
Im preparing myself to get contact lenses by the way :D

Yeah you do press it.. Not hard or anything, you just make it have contact pretty much and make sure it wont fall out. Then you can softly rub your lower eyelid over the bottom part to get out any air bubbles, and do the same with the upper eyelid. Then blink a few times and its all good :D
Just a thing with eye drops if you plan to use them with contacts.. It says on them to take your contacts out before you use the eye drops, but they always work fine for me with contacts in so yeah.

Yeah I've had contact lenses for a few years. It's easy man. You definitely get use to it. Might be a little different at first, but you really do get use to it.

well, i wouldnt say you "press" on them. you just kinda let the edges of it touch your eyes. and usually itll have a bubble or 2 under it, and depending how big the bubble is ill move it a little with my finger to get it out or if its small ill just blink. if its a big bubble and you blink your eyelids will grab the bubble and pull the contact off.

you guys are crazy
dont wear your contacts longer than you're supposed to ever, its terrible for your eyes and can cause so many infections and diseases and blindness
and especially DONT LEAVE YOUR CONTACTS IN FOR A MONTH STRAIGHT
what are you thinking man hahaha, get those out of there
make sure you know what kind of contacts you have daily, or whatever
DONT SLEEP WITH THEM ON, especially if there daily's ask your doctor first if you can sleep with your kind of contacts on or not.
seriously, bad thing to fuck around with.
AND FOR THE GUY WHO MADE THE THREAD: contacts get easy to put in once you just keep doing it, i suggest getting daily's so you can learn faster and I just believe daily's are way better since I had the other kind for more than 2 years i finally switched.

Don't tell him to rub his eyes. Bad! If there is any foriegn matter in eye, you can seriously injure your eyeball. Never rub eyes with or without contacts. Use the lubricationg eye drops and blink a few times.

dont literally sleep with them on..but im sayin, if u do have those nights where ur too fuckd up to take em out..and u sleep with them on..it doesnt cause discomfort at least for me..but durhp! ur shouldnt leave em on to sleep everyday, or worse leave em on for a month..

I usually can't stand to have them in longer than 8 hours at a time. I also neglect to rinse them off real well, but that always makes them feel better.

Noooo, dont rub them hard, but you have to play around with them if there's an air bubble..And rubbing softly wont do any damage..
