I'm nearly 6 weeks into flowering and my buds have just gotten fatter... until I discovered insects! Those little pests are eating nearly every bud colas my plant has and the affects has really shown already with few dead buds. They are that green caterpillar (I think) looking bug. When I squish it a green liquid shows (probably from eating too much chlorophyll from the plant I guess). Anyways, I have been hand picking these buggers one by one from both inside and outside the buds. So far I think I have plucked over 20 of them but they keep showing up. They are really destroying my crop and I don't know what to do. Should I remedy it with a liquid spray that will kill the buggers? or will that affect my buds?

Sounds like the organic method is working very well for you. Be sure to stomp them at the right angle so that they squirt real good on your plants. Pour encourager les autres.

A friend of mine called it pot worm and it is not good. He said they had to go to the bad, hardcore pesticides. Good luck with your girls.

I've decided to not use any type of spray and have been continuing to hand picked those buggers instead. So far, I see less and less of them everyday now but the ones I can't get to are the ones that eats and shits smack in the middle main stem of the bud. I fucking hate these freeloading pests! If it does get worse then I will just chop early... sad.

they come to my garden every year and it's a matter of going through ur girls real good and pickin those punks out.Time consuming, but effective. They lay eggs before the bud is all formed and then they grow off our buds.I just use the soap and my hands. How about spider mites?Have any problems w/them?

What I refer to as my house plant has spidermites. I am getting spray bottle ready today. Noticed on Friday. Wasn't there Wed or Thursday? Won't be able to treat til tomorrow.

This is a onefoot plant that was rescued from the dismantle of indoor grow. I received in June. I transplanted from clayballs (which are inside of rootball) to commercial organic soil with chicken manure. I fed once a week with Fox Farm Grow Big. It is now past three ft and starting in bud cycle. Last week I started the Bloom. I posted a thread about this plant. It gets about one to two hours of sun per day. I wanted a plant close because my others are not close.:hippy:

ocbornandrazd, that is exactly what happened to my plants a few days ago. Those buggers have laid eggs everywhere and it was hell picking them all off of my buds this past week. Now it seems I have already won the bug war but at a high loss. Nearly 1/3 of my buds have been destroyed. Luckily thats the only bug problem I have. Lets just hope I don't experience my first spider mite problems in my future grow.

zcomp, you wanted a pic or 2 well here it is... after the pics where taken those bugs was squashed by my sandal.

sorry that I asked, blahhh lol.
Really though thanks for the pics, I've downloaded them. I've read a few threads on this problem but never seen what I was looking for.
Have you figured where they came from??
That looks like a very large problem, Very sorry to see that :( .

I have no clue of where they came from. The only thing I know about bugs and insect is squashing them. Next time I'm building a box with an insect net all around it.
