Can you get high from eating hash?

I dunno I was just reading this article about a guy who went to Morocco to see what the underworld of hash trade was like. Basically at the end before he left Morocco he couldn't get on the plane with it so he swallowed "several grams" and ditched the rest. Said he was "flying" when he was on the plane lol. So that makes me wonder, can you get high from just eating hash? If so sry for the nub question but I honestly never heard of it.

i was at a party a few weeks ago and despite my repeated attempts to dissuade him this random guy decided that snorting a good deal of (my) kief was a great idea... he seemed to think it worked great but then again he fucking snorted kief so... his opinion isnt exactly highly valued around here... ended up being pretty funny so w/e made up for the loss of kief

This doesnt answer your question, but i've seen my good friend's dog get COMPLETELY high off of eating just like a gram of shake on accident (Like it couldnt even stand up straight it was acting like it was having a seizure and shit:() but I'm sure if a human (5-10X dog weight) eats something as highly THC concetrated as like bubble hash for instance, I'm sure you will get AT LEAST a good head buzz:thumbsup:

Yes, U can get high from eating hash. Swallowed 1/3g before leaving Amsterdam for the U.S. Didn't come down for 12 hours, just about the length of the flight!

take your hash crush it into powder or as best as you can depending on the hash get a spoon put water in spoon put hash in spoon use lighter and heat spoon till water is hot enough to boil stir into a yogurt or a high fat content thing and eat simple.....

IIRC, when thc is bonded with a carbon atom, it is quite ineffective at getting you high due to shortcomings of the human digestive system. However in a hash oil product, is the THC "decarbolized"(i think thats the word... im no scientist)? becuase it woudl make sense if it was(as youre using a solvent to extract a chemichal), so then eating hash should get you high.

i would jsut trust erowid though, if erowid says its a go, then its most likely a go.

Yeah that's why I made this thread. I thought cannabis had to be heated before they are able to give any psychoactive effect but then they say weed is potent after it has dried and shed it's moisture content converting the acidic trichomes to neutral or some shit I mean..wtf all this shit is like pissing me off. Ok a guy eats hash before he boards a plane and he's high... but they say it has to be heated before the trichomes become psychoactive. Erhm, I dunno..

In England I used to get mostly hash. I would break off a little chunk and swallow it before travelling. (As a passenger of course) It takes longer to feel, but the effects last longer than if smoked. I have also felt higher than normal after eating it. I used to make great chocolate chip, hash cookies before the extremely long bus ride to Amsterdam from where I lived. Made the LONG trip a lot more pleasant!
I also remember a guy getting cornered by the base police that popped a quarter of hash in his mouth to hide it. The police grabbed him and just watched him in his cell until he started getting very high. Then they got him to confess... That guy must have been loaded!

Hash is usually heated in the over to solidify it from a powder to a solid block. That heating may or may not, depending on the temperature of which it was heated, decarbolize the thc.

OK some aspects of THC begin to deteriorate at 65 degrees farenhite, others as high as 165 (that why vaporizers don't smoke, no vegatable matter burning) Hash WILL assimilate because it is not vegatable matter, it's the resin glands that have been crushed together with mild heat (human body 96.8) and that processing will make it usable.
Yes it takes more and longer but it's worth it
Someday I will tell the tale of "Bob" who on a dare grilled 4 oz of hash with 4 oz burger and slept for three days afterwards. He was also allergic to cannabis after that!
