I dont know how popular mobile/cell phones are there in america or how big people are on them but mostly in the uk its a necessity and everyone has one, and especially people around my age 16-25 get the latest ones then you get the older people who just want one that aren't bothered as long as they make and recieve a call lol.

I have the "Samsung Heat" from Helio, but I'm planning on getting the "Ocean" within the next month. It's bad ass;)

So far, I haven't had any problems from the company. Everything is included for $100, and the phone runs off of Cingular or Verizon towers (can't remember which one they said...lol). I use my cell all the time, so the unlimited minutes and text is perfect for me:)

and CC, yeah the situation is pretty much the same in the U.S. Its very uncommon for someone to not have a cell phone. Also, the seniors do seem to care a lot less about what cool things their phone does. As long as it does the phone part its good for them. Im not trying to stereotype all old people though because my grandpa does love technology and he wouldnt settle for just any phone.

If you are looking into an iphone, I highly recommend looking into the Meizu M8 first. Granted it isn't supposed to come out until January. It will include many basic things apple left out that in my eyes make the iphone a sub par phone, such as: 3g, 3rd party apps, higher quality audio, a higher resolution screen, and an extra camera for video conferencing. It is supposed to cost less than the iphone and a has a different, cheaper model without the cameras. Now I know a lot of you will say "it is a cheap knockoff." No, it is not a cheap knockoff, it is an amazing knockoff that is cheaper and better equipped. After all, isn't the iphone just a knockoff too?
