Is there something wrong with my joints?

Okay, so if you remember from my last topic, I love joints. And I love to roll them. Lately I've been putting a lot of effort into my joints. So let me describe to you my perfect joint. I got my hands on a joint roller recently, so I use that. It makes the joints perfect in shape. I also like to use a business card for a filter. Usually 4-5mm just so you can have your lips or finger on something to avoid getting burned. As an added touch, I use OCB pepers. Papers that have no gum, so they burn forever. I just had the idea that joints could be exactly like ciggerettes.

Now for the most part people who I've showed my joints to kinda go like "what the fuck is this?" And I think thats bullshit. I was just at Projekt Revolution and some random guy came up as asked to take a hit (thats expected) and he didn't even like my joint. It turns out that the next time her came over to hit it my joint magically broke "as soon as I handed it to him." (Thats bullshit because he came up and broke my joint.)


So I don't really know. What do you all think?

We always roll with a carboard filter in the UK, its what we call the roach.

However, in my experience i have found that joint rollers often make joints far too tight and hard to toke on.

Post a picture of one of your joints and we can have a look.

people dont really smoke joints where im from because they waste chron, it burns to much of it to fast especially if its heads! but any one who randomly asks to take a hit of your joint and then insults it is a fucktard in my book ;)

yea, i use roaches most times too...im talkin like less that half a cm long, a few millimeters wide (least for marley spliffs)...by the time it burns down that much you can't hit it anyway without burning your fingers or lips and unless you collect roaches (and even if you do a small filter doesnt do much harm) , aint no point in keepin the waste

I dont roll a joint without a filter in it anymore.

I use a rolling machine as well, and I can get a perfectly rolled, perfect burning joint with a filter in it, that doesnt have any problems smoking at all.

The filter helps cool the smoke slightly, and most importantly, it prevents you from having to get resin on your fingers or burning your mouth/fingers trying to hit a roach. I dont need or want that shit on my fingers, and I dont enjoy burnin my lips/fingers.

I have some friends who think its a badge of honor to be able to hit a roach until they are getting liquid resin on their fingers from pullin a hit through it, and its burning the piss out of their fingers as well... but personally that just seems stupid.

My motto with everything in life, pot smoking included, has always been... "Work(smoke) smarter, not harder."

To each their own though, I suppose.

using a rolling machine has always been such a cop out to me. rolling by hand is an art that takes time and skill to perfect, i'm of the opinion that anyone who smokes enough should know how to roll, it should be mandatory for cryin out loud!

ya it could be rollers i smoked out of one from a roller one time and it makes it way to tight lol and it it burned unevenly too, just roll by hand once you know how to its just as easy as with a roller and they are better

If its too tight, or not burning right, then the person using the roller is inexperienced or just plain stupid. They arent that hard to use, and used properly you can roll up Joints that are far better then what you can do by hand. Ive yet to see a person roll a Joint that was so perfect in shape and size, perfect even packing... not too tight, not too loose, that burns just like a cig.. but I roll up plenty of j's with my roller every night like that.

And I spent an entire weekend one week trying to roll by hand, went through about 6 packs of papers, got no where. I cant get the flick man... perfect roll job up until i need to roll one edge under the other.

I can roll 2X the size of a cigarette with a Orange Zig Zag 1.25.

Takes a lot of practice...All I can say is it is like tucking the little side in. Your fingers and thumbs need to move harmoniously.

I always roll with a roach, I was told not to use a filter by some Cannabis Pro booklet. It explained smoking with a filter absorbed THC, meaning you would end up smoking more to reach a desired high.

I agree with some of the others it doesn't matter what your joints look like as long as they smoke good. But it is nice to roll well.

When I do smoke joints, I do use a roller, and use a roach on every one, but to each his own.

I've never grasped the technique of rolling by hand, as I said, I smoke glass 95% of the time. But when a joint is due, a roller makes it mighty easy :).

i use grinder on my weed, put weed in roller, filter (not cig style) in roller, roll up, smoke. rolls perfect, hits perfect, burns perfect. i dont get why people wouldent smoke it.

If you really have 2 use a device to roll Why dont you try using a wicker rolling mat , you can roll them to your desired tightness !

I agree Cheese, that is the ONLY way to roll a joint. However, I never roll joints any more since I am accustomed to my water pipe.

BTW I am so excited my Super Skunk is ready to harvest. I let her mature W A Y past the normal due date to see if she would grow fatter. She looks different from any plant I ever grew. There were way more leaves popping out from everywhere and the leaves were all three bladed.
