caught for personal use cultivation???

since this grit weed is a serious health risk, i have decided to grow my own. :)

what do you think would be the penalty if someone in the UK were growing 6 plants (3 veg, 3 flowering) for personal use?

i would be using soil, so it's not "sophisticated" as the UK courts like to call it ;)

i appreciate that it depends on the judge and lots of other factors, but if anyone knows anyone who has got busted for a similar offence i would appreciate to know how they got on.

but thedapper1, you're saying i'd get 4 years in prison for 6 plants??? i've heard about people with 800 plants getting 4 years.... but 6 plants? i'd have guessed a fine and community service myself, but then again this government is a bit crazy at times when it comes to priorities in courts......

i think when i have my own place i'll just use seeds, soil and a HPS light. no seperate veg/fruiting chambers. at least that way if the worst case scenario happens - ie get caught, then i can claim it was a one-time grow and that i didn't intend to continue growing after i harvested these plants.

i suppose it all depends on the judge and if you got previous for any other offences.

i highly doubt youd get 4 years for 6 plants.you mentioned going with soil as to not seem sophisticated.if you have extraction fans/filters/timers and a contactor there gonna say you was using a sophisticated set up anyway.you also mentioned having some plants vegging while some are in flower,police wil try and use this against you saying you were doing perpetual harvests.

whatever you do dont have scales as these will only add fuel to the fire and dont have any cash that cant be honestly accounted for as this will also be going with plod.also neve admit to suplying anybody not even close friends or family as this will still be looked upon as dealing.

sure man he was just using two 250w hps lights with the soil just a basic set up in his cupboard he didnt have any seperate chambers. keep it basic an youl be fine
remember tell no 1 one person that knows is 1 too many

Just stick a few plants in pots in your garden.
That is defo not Sophisticated :P

But yeah if you do have Light/Fans/Scales/Cash/Nutes and all other brilliant paraphernalia, chances are your in the deep shit..

If you get caught expect a hefty fine and maybe some community service :)
But hell everyone should give back to the community anyway.
Look at it as a win win situation.

And if you ever smell the bacon knocking on your door... Get ready to eat some sexy green :D

As long as you've got under 10 flowering you almost certainly aint looking at prison time.

For 6 plants you'd get a fine/community service tops. Just make sure you dont make it look as though your a dealer [eg, if you've got alot of baggies, get rid of em.]

I think the most important thing is dont buy a scales or baggies, dont attract attention to ur house and if u do get arrested act as stupid, worried,anxious and apologetic as possible (bit of crying doesnt hurt either). My m8 got brought in for 6 plants (he's a pretty experienced grower) they asked him how much did u get off the plants? he said " i think it was 2 VIDEO BOXES of leaves and one video box of buds, but i only smoked the leafs cos the buds didnt burn properly". the copper replied '' ye, i think u have to dry them out first".
Take ur chances mate, its your human right and the government shouldnt be allowed to tell u what u can and cant smoke. I think the pros outweigh the cons with risking a grow.

Ive read that theres two charges, cultivation is the lesser charge, and production which is a serious charge for more commercial operations. I belive the production charge is the same charge you get for producing synthetic chemicals also, so you relly dont want to get stung with that.

A lot will depend on surrounding circumstances, but I think 6 plant in soil with one light would fall under the lesser charge, where as 12 plants 3 lights and a hydro set up could be classed as production, because you couldnt realisticly say it was all personal.

This is by no means fact, just how I understand it.

my mate from neath in wales got caught with 6 plants, all rather large, and he got a caution and nothing else. another mate got caught in bridgend and had three months inside. he did have over 40 well established large plants and made the front page of the daily mirror. he got burgled and phoned the police himself, who appeared, got a wiff of his grow, and promptly arrested him. The mirror headline was "dopey boss grasses himself" as he was growing them in his business factory unit. i think the trick is to only grow what you need for personnal use. 6 plants is cool, 40 odd and i think they tend to feel your taking the piss with the personnal use argument. :)
