kava kava question

i bought some kava kava extract pills from my local heath food store, and i was wondering how many i should take, each one contains 409mg, the bottle said take one at a time but i want to get as messed up as i can from kava kava, so how many would be safe to take?

^ i messed up, its actually 136mg a pill, 409mg is for 3 pillss, serving size says just 1, my question from above remains.

You'll feel something from even 1 if you never use kava. I usually drink several cups of Kava tea which has about 100 mgs per cup. No matter how much you take, you aren't going to get that messed up. Just pop a couple, in a few minutes if you want more, have a couple more. The dosages of Kava are realy not very distinct. You can judge how much you need. I don't know for sure, but you probably could just eat the whole bottle.

i heard its a modreate sedative with very minor psycoactive effects depending on dose (the dose being hard as fuck to find info on), ill post back in the next day or so after i consume different amunts of it to explain the effects from experience.

I have kava sometimes but as a drink.All it does for me is make me feel relaxed.It does not make u hallucinate or high even when i went to fiji and was drinking it for hrs all it did was make me sit down and stare into space lol.

Exactly, you do get the pleasent numbness in your gums and lips though :)

i took 2 pills about 1hr ago, i feel a slight headache, my minds seems to be clearer, muscles relaxed. its relaxing but nothing that id consider to be a typical recreational drug. ima take 5 or 6 next time either later tonight or tommorow ill report on that dose later on.

I took 8 of the kava pills, I first noticed a slight sense of detachment from my surroundings, I was anxious at first cause I was worried id taken too much, but I then felt sense of total calmness, not euphoria just calmness. It was a very relaxed, content feeling.

Its like the polar opposite of caffeine but has a certain similarity to it, its off course different cause caffeine pills make you hyper and these calm you, but there similar cause neither one is that intense to the drug catergory it belongs, like caffeine isnâ??t the most intense stimulant and kava isnâ??t the strongest sedative. It feels good but I wouldnâ??t call kava, at least at the dose I took (which is 8xâ??s the recommended), a recreational drug.

i think i misjudged kavas potency, i took the 8 pills at 2am, and i described the effects about an hour after taking them thinking that was the tottality of it, i was wrong. about 2 hours later i went to the bus stop to go to work, i was standing there then i became very dizzy, the dizzyness lasted about an hour, then i just sort of became foggy and i couldnt concentrate and i kept on stareing off into space and this is still happening know 12 HOURS LATER. im sure ill be fine, but this is unexpected, i guess i shouldnt have done 8xs the recomended dose. this kava experience hasnt been unpleasant just not what i expected.

My friend pops like 15 Kava Kava pills at a time. Each pill has 130mg of kavalactones. I think he's done 20 max. Your tolerance for it builds up really fast. Personally, I don't see the big deal with it. It's definately one of the more boring herbs people tend to abuse.

Kava is an herb. A root as a matter of fact. Not a drug. The results are very relaxing. Pop a couple caps at bedtime or drink the tea. Try it with a joint. mmmmmmmmmm

kava tea gives me really vivid dreams when i drink it before bed. like ill know im in a dream and i can play god. its fun shit.

Kava ISN'T like other "drugs". For one thing, it's a spinal depressant...a rather rare item. So it can produce peaceful feelings without affecting your mind much. The effects of stem relaxation can be really different for different people. Dreams are a major possibility. My impression is of a very mellow peaceful feeling without grogginess or mental fogging. No, it's not some wow rush or party drug. It's what it is. A sort of meditation, an island of serenity.
