Cabinet growing with lock.

I am planning on growing for the first time and want to see if this cabinet will work. It seems like it would do the trick great. I am going to be ordering seeds from dutch passion that will produce shorter plants.

Width: 18 1/2 "
Depth: 19 5/8 "
Height: 35 3/8 "

If i cut a hole in each side of the cab what kind of ventilation would be good? I am just doing one plant for now.

Also, I am overseas. What kind of soil & nutrition would be good?

I am planning to do florescent until flowering. In which the hps will go in.


If it is not big enough what kind of cabinet should I get? (preferably from Ikea with a lock) or anything around Sweden

look at the wardrobes that ikea sell. they are better sized for growing.

i don't grow myself, so better wait for someone else to answer ;), but ikea wardrobes look great for growing.

For only one plant that should be plenty fine. Throw a few fluorescents in there and start topping if the plant gets too tall for the container, or LST if the width becomes a problem.

As far as ventilation, intake near the bottom and exhaust near the top, you won't need more than a tiny computer fan for each because one plant won't require all that much. (Don't get me wrong, the more the better, but it won't need much)

just one light yo. maybe 2 fluorescents. that might be overkill for one plant though. If so then just 1 flc and then an hps. What is a cheap fan system? I don't need anything too expensive.....the one's i have found just look like they hook up to a computer. How do you connect those?(I am no PC user...mac =P)

Sure, but you can have the same set up with a different number of plants and the one with more plants will need more ventilation for optimal efficiency (from everything I've been told.)
