a buddy of mine popped about fifty seeds (yeah I know) then talked himself into getting a 600 watt HPS for his first grow attempt.

Now he's down to about 25 or so, at least 5 that I know of actually died(!), threw a bunch of smaller ones out just for the space. I'm flowering 7 of the smaller more sickly ones with floros just to see what happens. Let's see if I can get the image here...

I think he needs to flower them now, before they get any bigger and start really blocking each other's light out. And there's bound to be males in there, to hard to tell yet. He's talking about buying seeds too, I recommended he get the kinks out first because at least a third of them have had/still have nute/ph/who-knows-what problems.

It's kinda over ambitious for a first grow I think, when he's not even very good at knowing how much to water, feed, etc. I'll get some better picts when I'm babysitting them next week, from an actual camera instead of a cell phone.

This is how they looked two weeks ago before he finally got off his ass and flushed 'em, pretty amazing difference.

So he decided to go on vacation for a week, and I was supposed to babysit. A lock was also supposed to be installed on the door, a timer was supposed to get plugged in...

Anyways, there was some odd power outage and they're flowering now, can't see any males yet, but they're doing well in their sardine can setting.

He was planning on flowering them when he got back, I guess he's a week ahead now.
