I use Propellerhead's Reason 3.5 it's pretty powerful when you get the hang of it... check out the link for an example of shit ive made with it.

i've used fruity loops myself and i liked it... however its the only one ive used though

TUAREG it is a good program and FREE. There is tuareg 1, free and full sized versions, and tuareg 2, which needs to be purchased to get any good stuff out of it.

No I havent upgraded yet, does the upgrade cost money? i was watching the demo vid on the site and it does look pretty damn intriguing

No I havent upgraded yet, does the upgrade cost money? i was watching the demo vid on the site and it does look pretty damn intriguingIt's 129 US to upgrade so that's not too bad I guess. The new work flow for sequencing is a God send, I was starting to hate automating things, but now I love it just because of how easy it is. I sound like a rep for propellerheads but the product is so much easier to use now :D

Adobe Audition 3.0 was just released, and is supposedly the best in the series, I wouldn't know though because I can't get it to run on my laptop. Thankfully my cuz says it's running on the computer we record on.

If you can't use 3.0, try any version of Adobe Audition or Cool Edit Pro. They're all the same basic program.
