So, what does the herb do for you?
I find smoking cannabis does a wide arrange of things for me, both positive and negative. :smokin:
I find it makes me able to connect to myself and my brain, to help me go threw thoughts step by step so everything makes sense and becomes a solution, it kind of makes me feel like I've achieved my thoughts. Sounds weird I know, but it's the best was I could describe it. :wtf:
An obvious negative is it taking away my short term memory so I struggle to remember what I specifically did a few days back basically mashing the last years all in to one. Also general brain power for normal things, like thinking normally. Lowers my IQ by about a billion :stoned:, but increases other emotions and feelings such as 'increased music appreciation' as a thread I saw appropriately named it.
It what ever I'm doing so much more interesting and entertaining, like watching a film really blazed its so much more detailed and deeper, than just simply watching a film.
Unfortunately sometimes I do become quite distant from reality, on a larger scale than just when I'm 'high', but I don't necessarily think thats a bad thing.
Last of all, I find it to be one fucking good hobby. Over the years the 'inter-rest' of the plant has only increased. So much to learn about something deemed such a bad thing buy the powers that be.
So yo, I want to know what smoking ganja does for you, positives and negatives.

Well there are more positives then negatives in my case. For positives i'd say smoking the ganja helps me cope with problems (past and present) and just helps me deal with it in a more calmly fashion i guess you could say. Also smoking ganja helps me sleep at night. I'm literally sometimes a insomniac (SP?) at night and can't sleep worth of shit. But with ganja i fall to sleep within 10 minutes of smoking it. Now the negatives of smoking ganja i guess would be it makes a lil lazy at times and it messes with my memory up to 3 days ago. Nothing major though. So i love smoking ganja and i will always smoke it if i can!

I was almost murdered as a child. A kid took a hammer to my skull. I have dents in my skull and migraines that I believe are a result from the attack. Cannabis stops them dead! As long as I toke- NO MIGRAINES! I also have restless leg syndrome, arthritis and am 60.
On the psychological end, I am very mildly bipolar ( Mom was REALLY bipolar!) and cannabis evens me out. Cannabis stimulates my creativity (I quilt, paint, sculpt and am a great cook). It also helps me keep my cool- I live with 3 men and work at a very high stress job. - Granny:hippy:

I get that, but then I forget what my idea or thought was about :stoned:

What kind of sick fucker would hit a kid with a hammer in the head  ? And I'm assuming you were a girl too, what the fuck! In other words, I'm very sorry and I'm glad that weed helps you with this. I'll be sure to blaze one for ya

He was a little older than me- I was 3 and he was maybe 5? He was trying very hard to put up one of those pup tents with the ropes and pegs. I was pulling out the pegs on one side, while he was pounding in the other side's pegs. He came around the front, hammer in hand and snapped! What can I say? I was a brat!
Hey, I survived! That's what is important! :D- Granny

ok, first, I say we form a Cannabis.com mob, and go hunt down that sick SOB and give him some skull dents.
now as for the effects of the herb, I find it calms me (except when I hear about sicko people that take hammers to heads), and makes it easier to fall asleep at night.
It has helped me make friends, expanded my horizons, and generally made me a better person. Also, I am getting the best grades of my life, in college. I used to be a decent student, but since I started smoking, I get A's and B's, and thats it.
Weed has also improved my relationship with my little sister, who also smokes, and whenever we get the chance to hang out (we live in different states), we blaze and chill, and have a great time.
sure, I have a little bit of memory loss, but I remember the important stuff, and it's only the boring, stupid stuff I forget. I might be a little more lazy, but I've always been lazy (and forgetfull too), so it isnt really much of a difference.

I'm nauseated by the hammer sentiment. I always trip about the kids my 19-month-old plays with; you don't know whose kids you can trust since often the kid's actions are raw manifestations of the parents' most irrational inner self, and a lot of people are just a cancerous, malicious scum. :asskick:
Anyhoo, man I love weed.
It's transcendently comforting. Nothing is more rewarding to the brain. I like how it comes in a rich spectrum of bag appeal and quality. You don't get that diversity from any bottle of rx drugs, those're all just a homogeneous, uniform clump, as if directly from the ass of some braindead corporation. But weed comes in various colors and flavors and there's always a grade to suit your budget.
It makes me want to exercise and philosophize
I guess a disadvantage is that if I wanted to or needed to quit (heaven forbid), it would probably take about 2 months to feel like myself again.

For me it calms me, helps me socially (I have aspergers, which itself is both a blessing and a curse, look it up) it helps me to feel more talkative and comfortable, it helps with my worry issues (I worry to the point that its probably very bad mentally for me). There really havn't been any negitive things except the risk from the, idiotic, illegality.

The main thing it does for me and the woman is: it helps us sleep! That's no trivial thing either; lack of sleep causes all *kinds* of problems. We're both insomniacs who have problems making our brains shut down, but one good bowl, and bam, we sleep like babies. Then the next day, we're happier, less frequently depressed, more energetic, less grouchy, more productive when working. I know they have prescription meds to help one sleep. The woman has tried several types. Most are addictive. Some have side effects. And *none* of them work as well (for us) as a simple bowl of cannabis in the evening.
