When I was 14 years old on Long Island I was coming away from the counter with a pack of Marlboro's when I turned and walked face first into Telly Sevalles' chest, he had a carton of Long John Silver cigarettes and a big bag of Tootsie Pops in his hands. He was doing the show "Kojack" at the time and lived in Huntington Bay. I said "Excuse me but, Who loves you baby" and walked away.
Now I live in Studio City and everybody is who is anybody lives somewhere close within 10 miles of me either in the Hills above us or over the Hill in Beverly Hills.

To Birdgirl: Sorry for hijacking this forum but I can't give you a rep right now. That wasn't your wedding. Oh, and to everyone, a few of the bands I listed are actually from a few miles away.

That'd be St. Louis, Missouri, right? Scott Joplin, Mark Twain and Ulysses S. Grant were the three that gave it away for me.

No problem JD1stTimer. No, that wasn't my wedding on the courthouse lawn. I grew up in one of those big houses along Oak Street not far from the NT campus. The reception was in the back yard, which I'm sure was troubling to the neighborhood, but everyone in Denton is accustomed to bands playing. That was before Brave Combo was as famous. I got married in 1983, long before you were there, I'm sure.

Luke Jordan (mega-kudos/cookies to anyone who knows who he is)
Gomoroah (A fairly good band, good chance of breaking big in the hardcore scene)
Ghost of a fallen age (Great local band, almost sure fire chance of breaking into the music scene in a big way, internationally Id bet)
Dismembering something or other (see above)
Jerry Falwell (Eww... I try not to hate anyone, but its hard not to hate him).
