Well im sure theres a lot of people here who know about eBay and stuff but I've just started using it and im am still learning how to use it and paypal aswell.
I go this email from eBay today on my account.
Your bank has approved your Direct Debit Instruction to eBay Europe S.Ã* r.l. . You will not have to worry about initiating your monthly payments on your account. eBay will automatically deduct your monthly invoice amount from your bank account 7 to 10 days after receipt of your invoice. This payment method takes effect immediately.
Here is the Direct Debit Guarantee for your information:
The Direct Debit Guarantee
* This Guarantee is offered by all Banks and Building Societies that take part in the Direct Debit Scheme.
* The efficiency and security of the Scheme is monitored and protected by your own Bank or Building Society.
* If the amounts to be paid or the payment dates change JPMC Re: eBay will notify
you 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed.
* If an error is made by JPMC Re: eBay or your Bank or Building Society, you are guaranteed full and immediate refund from your branch of the amount paid.
* You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by writing to your Bank or Building Society.
* If you choose to cancel your Direct Debit arrangement, please also send a copy of your letter to us.
Thank You!
eBay

Are you sure that is an email from eBay and not from a site trying to get your banking info?

You shouldn't.
I think they're referring to your purchases, or sales. That what it sounds like.

Yeah, that's what I thought first as well, but they're no link they're trying to make you click on or about activating an account.

Sure you didn't sign up for a seller account also?
@ FakeBoobsRule - I think if it was somebody trying to get his info then they would have asked for it?

Im pretty sure its from eBay it wasnt and email to my email account it was a message/email thing to my eBay account direct so im quite sure its not a fake or anything.
But ive never heard of having to pay a monthly sum just for being a member?
Heres the second part of the email.

So anyone can explain? Does anyone here have a seller account on eBay?

No cc don't worry, they take whatever you owe them. When you try to sell something it doesn't automatically charge you the money to list it. You'll get charged for it later in the month probally. Listing fees normally range from less than $1.00 to $50.00 for all the fancy stuff (US prices by the way, sorry ). It's always good to invest some money into the listing (expecially when it's over $200).

ALWAYS log into e-bay or paypal to confirm these e-mails!!! MOST of the time it is a scam and from the second part of that it seems that is just what you've got.
IF e-bay did send you an e-mail it there would be a copy in your message box in e-bay.
Have a good one!

Scam.
Am I nuts? I don't think the e-mail asked for any personal information. It was only a notice. Doesn't seem like a scam at all to me.

Ebay doesn't email important account info.Type in ebay and go to yuor account directly. If there is anything important you should know it will be posted in your account.NEVER,NEVER clink on an ebay email for info.

Yeah thats true I still dont understand how people would get ahold of your email though unless it eBay or Paypal scamming you themselves lol.. I thought they kept all of your personal information confidential.
No joke... and didn't he just say earlier that the message in question was sent to his eBay account?
Haha some people just dont bother reading through the posts, I really dont see the point in joining a forum if you dont want to read.
