Whoohoooooooo!:)
So I just got my letter from the college and I've been accepted to start my business degree! lol, I never thought I'd end up here either, first I took a year of my BA to be a teacher, then I was going to be a pharmacist, then a doctor, then I was planning on going into computer information systems. But due to some changing circumstances I've ended up going into business, and couldn't be happier about it :) . I'm definately going to stick with it.
Soooo... I was wondering if there's anyone else here (preferrably Canadian) who's taken business, and if they can offer me some advice. Mainly I just want to study ahead before I jump into it this fall. Can anybody advise me on what I could read ahead on?
Thanks ahead to anybody who helps!
Peace:hippy:

First of all, congrats!
I'm heading into my third year in business school (US) and would advise you to read up on:
Macroeconomics
Microeconomics
Intro to Accounting
Intro to Marketing
Statistics
These should be a part of your basic requirements so just read up on the basics of each of those subjects. Take them in the fall and you will be a step ahead of the rest!

Awsome, I've decided to look into microeconomics right away. Thanks for all the info!
And GanjaDude, you wrote "congrats" and gave me bad rep.:wtf:

Hi Gandalf, I work in education. I'd like to make a small suggestion. Get a tape cassette recorder! Read your text books into it and play it in the car as you drive or when you are just hanging out at home. It really helps! - Granny:hippy:

That's not a bad idea StormCrow, kind of like hearing your thoughts outloud. Unfortunately though any decent recorder is about $80 and I'm utterly broke right now. Frig it's frustrating at times not being physically able to work:mad:. But I'll be happy living on a student loan now. :) Thanks for the suggestion anyway!

I didn't know wizards were into business. You should sell pipes like the ones you smoke out of. And release videos on how to make cool smoke figures. You could be a billionaire.

Haha, exactly what I had in mind ;) . Man I'm so annoyed because I actually did have an exact briarwood replica of Gandalf's pipe (er... my pipe) and I lost it :( . I'll be sure to aquire another once I can save up the money.... or visit my elven friends and have them craft me another one.:stoned:
