I was watching this show the other night about these crystal skulls that were found in S. America (i think). They were saying that to this day, scientists have yet to determine the way they were constructed, and have not been able to place a date, implying they are older than we can measure.? They also said that legend around these said when all "17" (?) were together they would show us the most valuable info ever. The crystal is also the SAME crystal WE use today in microchips, to store information!

I'll see if I can find something more accurate and official to post, but has anyone heard of this?

Hmmm.. microchips = Pure silicon... a silvery-grey substance... quartz is a Si-based mineral, but carries impurites that determine the color and opacity. Amethyst is a type of quartz actually.
I looked at that link and it's really neat stuff.
