The longest time you've ever clocked into a game?

I've played many games and many games I played for many hours, however there is a few games that I put a large amount of hours into.

Most notable for me...


1. Phantasy Star Online - 3200+Hours - I picked this game up on the Dreamcast 2 weeks after it was released. It was the first online console RPG and my first online game ever played. Little did I know then just how much it would get me hooked to where I still play it now and then when I get an itch to play it.

2. World of Warcraft - 400+Hours - Everyone around me was playing it and I like the idea/basis around MMOs...however the faults and irritations plaguing the genre kept me from playing more...same goes for FFXI.

3. Monster Hunter - 330+Hours - I once thought this would be the PSO killer for me the game that would take over. I absolutely love this game to death as you can see from the time I put into it, but it didn't have the staying addictive power PSO had, perhaps it was the lack of forming any online friendships.. I still pick it up from time to time as well. Hopefully I can play the sequel at some point.

4. Final Fantasy XI - 200+Hours - I bought it because it was a Final Fantasy around the mmo idea which always interests me....sadly despite a few good things about the game...it's ultimately not very fun.

5. Burnout 3: Takedown - 150+Hours - A simple racing game that could go online. Strangely I took to this game really well and surprising myself became VERY good at it. I got addicted to racing online and played it for many hours until winning started becoming required for me to have fun...my skills went to my head I guess. Haven't liked the sequels since then. Hoping Burnout 5 will bring back the same feel 3 had.

Counter strike source 400+ hours, red orchestra 100+ hours, Diablo 2 850+ hours on my acc that got banned for maphack XD. Just baught another copy the other night. I also play maplestory a bit, i got respect for the sidescroller mmorpg's.

FFXI....i estimate atleast 9,960 hours (before i quit my play time was pretty much 1 year (350 days or so) plus what i've got since i started playing again... btw playtime is actual time you've spent on the game, not how long you've been a member)

I have spent many a nights playing Halo 2. Greatest game I have ever played haha. I must have atleast over 500 hours. And thats a low estimate to. Ah and Guitar Hero's 1&2. Those kept me entertained for way too many hours of my life.

Stupid sims, I love that game. I played that game for a few weeks. I was getting good at the game, my house was clean, kids were happy, was making $$. One day I was hungry playing the game I went to the kitchen, it was messy, the dog hadn't been walked in 2 days, and I haven't been to work in a week, stopped playing it that day.

I did some math cause I am a geek I have about 160000 @ 1000hr's points you got about 10000 points @ 160hr's. I have about 16X more points then you do. 160hr's X 16 = 2560hr's

In order of most to least of the ones I've wasted significant amounts of time on:
Tetris (including the version that is supported on a TI 85 graphing calculator- it was the only thing keeping me awake in calculus)
FreeCell- the windows version with only 1 undo- my record is 42 games STRAIGHT winning streak
Dark Castles- the old Mac game. Love that fucking game!!!

thats nuthing when GTA Vice city came out we palyed so much even on lunch at college we would go to my friends dorm smoke bowls have sex (with girls not eachother), and play Vice city for like 2 hours, the girls werre constanly getting pissed cause weed be yelleing to eachother put in the cop code or some rediculoys thing like that. then when were on ther road or side walk we would act like we were in the game, one time trafic was thik and we were like 5 minutes away from his dorm so I just jump on the meadian and we drove throw the campus park hit a couple benches and chairs and got a whole lotta people scared and freaked out all cause we were in the game. Then we jumped out and just left my truck on his lawn which on campus is a big no,no so the little tiket girl came along and one of the girls saw here so we jumped outta the dorm 2 freekin stories on too the truk and right when she was going to get my info we blazed outta their ruining the lawan and leaving the cute ticket girl in mud, just like the game took weeks to get all that outta our systems, we would be at parties takin bout the game and then just leave to go play the game, we would sing songs from the game in class and always say shit like Tommy Verceity lern it u fuk.

I've spent at least 700 hours on Socom 2 when it was popular, and probably around 900 on Socom 3, it got to the point where my clans record was over 100 wins and less than 20 losses. Then I put in probably 150 on Oblivion and 200 on San Andreas. I don't play games like that anymore though, ever since my 360 broke, and surprisingly I hated WoW (Which I think was more of a good thing), I just haven't found a game that I really got into in a long time.
