View Full Version : World's Biggest Case of Irony EVER!!!

This story is just dripping with irony in so many ways that it just might be the biggest case of irony in history. Amy Winehouse and her husband have reportedly entered rehab on August 14th. If you don't know who she is, she is a British singer who sings the song "Rehab."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qtc9x52Rrg

Vampy trampy Amy Winehouse and new chav hubby Blake Fielder-Civil had a real rock-and-roll honeymoon â??- a trip to rehab for alleged ______ and _______ addiction. Party on!
Whinin' Winehouse and Doherty-lite, according to a report in the Mirror, agreed to attend rehab after watching their fathers come to blows over their supposed shared addictions.

And, because it worked so well for LiLo and Brit Brit, Winehouse and Civil-Fielder are heading to the U.S. to get clean. Both are also reportedly seeing the same doctor that helped treat former wild child Kelly Osbourne. What a bloody f**kin' mess!

"They are both to blame," a source told the tab. "They are both as bad as each other. But at least they have admitted they have got a problem and are taking action to help each other."

Addiction like this is very serious so I do hope she gets better but is it any wonder that someone with the last name Winehouse and sings a song about rehab has landed there? One of the news stories I saw said doesn't the U.S. have enough addicts that we don't have to import them in. Imagine those that are already in the rehab center. Many rehab centers are based on patients living a short distance from the rehab center (maybe a mile or two) and going to the center every morning almost like school and then returning to the living quarters in the afternoon because anyone can get sober in a lockdown center but by giving them enough rope to hang themselves with, they have to learn how to live sober even though they are exposed to drugs and alcohol. So she probably checks in late in the day and the next morning everyone shows up at the center and the counselors introduce the newest patient. "Group, welcome Amy. She is a singer from England and she comes here today to get help for her problems." Every one's jaw drops as the chic that sings "Rehab" is now with them! She is probably thinking she is in the middle of a nightmare that she can't wake up from.

Like I said I joke now but I hope she gets better because it sounds like she needs it and everyone loves a comeback story. I will be saying a little prayer for her later on today.

Edit: Sorry I picked a video that doesn't allow embedding but most of the others had commercial links or ads in the corner of the video. It will take you to the video though.

I think The Rock is hittin' on me...

Don't think so buddy, he's hittin' on me so step back sister!

I was under the impression this wasn't Amy's first encounter with rehab.....

She isn't that bad, a lot of her songs are catchy but quite boring though. I do like that sort of style of music. It reminds me of smoking clubs from back in the day, with can can girls, and gambling going on.

I saw her at VirginFest a week or two ago, she was doing shots onstage- everyone was surprised she made it on time, to be honest.

Its got a nice reggae/gogo style and the song is kinda catchy at first, but gets on my nerves. Especially since it encourages the denial of important treatment. I dunno, maybe its that responsible little devil on my shoulder, but whatever.

I think it is that responsible lil' devil. Plenty of good songs are about bad things. N' there's no way you're a good boy! Lol.

Ugh, I have to agree with Reb. Her music is crappy, her voice is lousy, and she looks so trashy.

Exactly, but what bothers me the most is the fact that she obviously has a big drinking problem and another substance problem and she thinks its cool and funny. Like its the hip thing to do. Well as far as im concerned having a drinking problem isnt cool and trendy. My family has had drinking problems and its horrible. Its why I stick to weed and only weed.

Nah, she's a druggie/alcoholic and she's had a record of eating disorders, too.

She sang very well, I really enjoyed her live. But that song does get on my nerves...
