Have done 2 previous grows before the one im about to start and im hoping this one will be more succesful. With the first 2 grows i grew 2 plants each time. From each grow i managed to only get about half ounce each time. Is this normal? The plants were grown from seeds i found in some homegrown i smoked a while back. I heard growing from these seeds is why you wont good much of a yield, is this true? Ive just bought and recieved 10 seeds (double gum) from sensiseed.com. Again i only intend to grow 2 plants at a time as my grow area isnt very big. I am using 2 30w fl tubes and 2 40w cfls. The plants seemed to grow just fine before with this setup i just never seemed to get much bud from them. Anyone with any advice and pointers as to what i might be doing wrong would be much appreciated.

u might want 2 try a t5 light set up from high tech garden supply.a 4 light system tthat puts out 20,000 lumens no heat really and cheap

Well i recieved my new seeds yesterday and have decided to get cracking with my next grow immediately as ive smoked my last grow in just one week. Will be getting some extra lighting this weekend while i have money. Again i will be growing just a couple at a time. The seeds are both double gum which i got from sensiseed.com. Have put a seed in each peat pot just under the surface of the soil (multi-purpose sowing compost) added just a little water and put them under the lights straight away. Hopefully i should see some results in the next few days. Fingers crossed :)

try a few things like
- Painting the walls white
- Grow the Veg period a few weeks longer than what you have been growing at.
- Your grow area looks a little large for that little amount of lighting
Give some more info on your grow, What soil? what feed? what are you doing to make these grow and maybe some people can help you a little more.

It's not if the area is well lit, it's the intensity and quality of the light. Lighting is one of the bigger problems for your yield. Optimum lighting conditions are growing the veg period with a Metal Halide, you could probably get away with one 600 watt light of that. Then for flowering, you'd want a same wattage High Pressure Sodium, for example.
And yeah, follow the tips above too.
note: these lights are not NECCASSARY, they are just optimum for good yield and quality.

Definately get more Lumens in there. It looks like your plants are streched a bit from what I could tell in the photos. Keep it up and you will get the hang of it.

Well ive been out and splashed a few quid on a new light that should have some impact hopefully. The light gives off about 15,000 lumens and has the blue spectrum for the vegetive stage of growth. Will get round to painting my cupboard when i can be arsed......

Have been going for about 4 weeks now and was thinking of changing the light cycle from 24 hrs to 18/6. Should i change it now? Have been feeding them every 7-10 days with nutes.

I have been growing my self some weed in kind of the same setup!!! So, from my past 3 grows experience (almost none) i really suggest that you put more $$$ in your grown room dude!!!
It will for sure make a huge difference!
- my setup -
FLOWERING ROOM
- 10 20wts tubes (4 warm/6cool)
- 02 40wts cfls (warm)
- 130cm x 100cm x 50cm
VEG ROOM
- 4 20 wts tubes (4 cool)
- 80 cm x 100cm x 50cm
Im growing in soil (Premium Rose pre-mixed soil), but i start my GreenHouse seeds (fem) on some JiffPots, and after the roots are visible on the side of the pots, i put them in a four liters plastic pot for 4 weeks of 18/6 light cycle in the veg room, and another 8 to 9 weeks of 12/12 light in the flowering room. In the flowering stage i give my babes some Hyponex mixture for blooming roses, dont know if it is the best, but i guess it is working!!!
All the 3 times i had a harvest i would say that i got more than 1 once per plant for sure!!! Or my friends are really stupid:D!!!
So, there you go mate, i hope some of these stuff i wrote you, will help you get better results on your grow:thumbsup:.
Take and care man!!!
