a few days ago i had a pretty bad dirt bike accident resulting in a very deep and wide flesh wound and a crushed knee, the hospital gave me vikidin but for some reason it wasn't helping my pain, so when my mom went away i blazed a j i rolled before. my leg didn't hurt at all, but then my knee got really bloated after my high. i talked to my doctor about it today, i didnt tell him i blazed tho, he said i ripped a tendon and something finally triggered some left over blood to come out? i was really confused by this and i still don't understand how thats possible. so i was wondering if marijuana makes you bleed anymore then usual, because it happened right when my high was over, i didnt move or do anything else for any other reason to fill my knee with blood.

yeah i went head over goin around 60 then just layed there for an hour debating whether to call 911 because my parents wouldnt pick up....i can't stand calling 911 for some reason
the doctor cut my leg a little and a shitload of blood and very strange yellow fluid came out...more yellow stuff then blood. within 3 hours my leg was just as bloated.

I've never heard of marijuana causing bleeding issues but I certainly wouldn't go to court and swear on the bible. It seems pretty unlikely that the ganja would have caused your bleeding problem EXCEPT....were you blazed when you went head over heals?? Then AHA!!! (just kidding)
I'd definitely call your doc in the morning and let him know you've had nosebleeds....that plus perhaps a head injury.....see where I'm going here.....???
That yellow stuff in your knee is probably serum......blood seperates into two parts as you know....the red cells etc.....and the serum.

I would let your doctor in on the fact that you smoked to help with the pain. Doctors dont want (and cant legally) get you in trouble for it. They just need to know all the facts so they can make sure they give you the best medical care they can. Feel better!

Take the injury to your knee seriously. I would hesitate to suggest using pot to approach the pain from an injury. Your pain is there for a reason, to remind you your knee is HURT! I would say pain at this point is well deserved and a direct result of the injury and should be felt and not masked as it is an indicator as to the wellness of your knee. I know knee injuries all too well and I have a full titanium knee to show for it. Yes, I do use medical marijuana, but that is for chronic pain, not injury pain, two different creatures. Respect the injury, listen to the pain, and rest, you hurt yourself, give it time, and it can take a looooong time also! This is what you get when they replace a knee...

maybe u started to bleed after your high because your heart was beating faster and pumping more blood then usual???

It could be that the two events aren't related but merely coincidence.

Most like a coincidence. Coughing, however, can raise blood pressure dramatically for a few minutes. But I'd guess it just took a while to finally let go. The doctor can't legally "rat you out" to the cops, but CAN "rat you out" to your parents if you are under-aged! But, of course, that's no problem because everyone on this board is over 18, since the minors were all banned. Take care of your knee! Mine still gives me trouble from a 30 year old injury! I have a study in my medical study list about how cannabis is good for post operative pain- accident pain isn't that different Here, have a couple of studies, in case Mom comes back and you get caught.-

after draining it a second time, the swelling didn't go back up, so now its pretty much back to normal again, my knee still is in a lot of pain but my doc told me to use 2 vikidin pills rather then 1. i thought i was supposed to use 1
thank you all for the information

Depends on the strength of the Vicodin (5, 7.5, 10 mg) pill prescribed, the pain, age, weight, and what the doctor tells you.
I don't want to see people start talking about taking illegally obtained Vicodin pills or taking them for recreational purposes either.

I had to quote her as far as showing a negative aspect of using bud for pain relief from such an incision. Pain is there to remind you to not to strain it.
Btw, that looks like that hurts. I mean I was cut down straight down the torso, but I think I'd rather do that again, than ever get stapled at the knee!

Actually, the knee wasn't that bad, compared to staples up your spine, like laying on a spikey hairbrush.
