Hi All,

First time grower. I had 11 plants... now I have 2, 9 of the plants were male. I read one place the ratio was 40-50% male.

Was I just really unlucky this time? I'd like to get some feedback from other growers as to the ratios they've seen from growing.

It's late in the season now, and I want to start a new crop but I'll have to go indoors, I'd hate to start 9 plants and have them all go male on me.

Hi chili, yep its true luck of the draw, altho i did an indoor grow last year and all ten turned male!,growing conditions not right so i think they got stressed. But this year i've done an outdoor grow and i think out of eight i got two nice female's going strong. You can also buy feminised seeds of course, anyway good luck with your indoor grow make sure conditions are right and im sure you will get at least one lady!

Well, you still have two fems right? That's good!

This year out of 12 plants I got 3 males. Other years I have had close to 50/50, but usually not...I guess I'm just lucky.

for me it has been - out of 13 plants 1 male and one hermie- keeping my eye out for any more hermies- had one last year - seeds must be carrying a hermie trait - it is luck of the draw

Just remenber enviroment will affect sex, try to give some back round info for reference. My ratio is about 80-90% females but thats been indoors with a controlled enviroment. Good Luck, Ive also used dutchmaster reverse at the onset of flowering to prevent males, again indoors.
