Would you grow and sell it? Assuming there were no legal issues etc.....How about if there were a law for over 18? Would you demand ID?
I'd figure though that if it WERE legal the prices would be much lower due to the competition.....something to think about there.
Would you go into the POT BUSINESS?

I would grow as many fucking plants as humanely possible and tend to them each and every day and when harvest comes i'd have pounds and pounds, possibly even tons of the finest sensimellia and i'd hook every body up for better prices than anybody else.

i wouldn't try to sell it... if it were legalized tomorrow, by the time i grew som emature plants the market would literally be flooded with it, you could probably buy it cheaper then water....
i would grow my own tho... my whole back yard would be nothing but plants... not that i need thta much to smoke, but i'd definately be using it to cook with (as a spice/herb, not to get high) and making crap loads of hash and oil... i would pick one or two plants out of every 100 to be dedicated to just be harvested for bud, but the rest would go to other purposes..

Dutch Schwag...any color you want. (as long as it's green)...:baggy:......
Oh, the possibilities are endless with marijuana. I would try my best to utilize marijuana to its full resourcefulness, by producing clothes, energy, plastics & paper, etc.

absolutely irrevocably indelibly NO! My product is an extension of myself. It would be like trying to put a price tag on my kids. with the patience, diligence, love and spirit that goes into the growing process, accepting money for it would completely cheapen the experience, in any market, black or otherwise.
that said, I enjoy nothing more than sharing my finished herbs and giving them as gifts. people often offer money for it, and I know they have good intentions, but I recoil in disgust at the suggestion of putting capital on the same plane of existence as an herb as sacred as cannabis. I feel it is a direct gift from the heavens. It's comparable in atrocity to selling indulgences or charging admission to go to church.
I accept other favors for my gifts. Anything that a friend can do in the future for me that for some reason I can't do for myself I would consider an equitable trade. If they can't do anything, consider my weed a free gift.
Oscar Wilde said " A cynic is someone who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing." Typical capitalist attitude. There is a vast difference between the value of something and what that thing will fetch in a marketplace.
Cannabis is far too singular, too panacean, too glorious to be seen as something that can be sold

I would build a three-sixty house of pots on platforms and then live underneath it. The entire house would be a year-long trimming experiment.
We would just sit under it while people took turns trimming with a giant butterfly net and an eight foot Hooka.
Won't matter though. After five years of it being completely legal it will be everywhere.

There IS the thought of maybe doing the hemp thing....someone mentioned making everything with it.....well maybe SOME things. Those who said it would be everywhere if legalized are probably right though.....probably wouldn't be able to GIVE it away.
Hey....That'd be cool. :)

I would grow for personal use and sell to my good friends. However, I wouldn't go into the business of selling weed. I would rather get a 9 to 5 job after college.

Absolutely agree with you! We shouldn't charge money for anything that we love.

If it were legal then, hell yeah, I would grow it. Our property would be a field of weed. Winter time, the grow would come indoors, depending of course how much my field yielded. I may not even need a winter crop.
Also, if legal, I'd sell it to friends and such.
Gotta share the bud ya know. :)
Oh how I wish my State was legal! But, alas, it's not to be. Yet.

Mad props to you Burnable. Not only for your sacramental attitude but also for using the word panacean in a sentence.
If it were legal I would have a row of it between my tomatoes and my green peppers and never have to buy it like I do with those plants. I would give the excess away to any one who needed or wanted it as I do today with zucchinis and green beans.
Peace,

Me and a buddy are planning to open a smoke shop if it ever becomes legal, kinda like Amsterdam has, a selection of premium stuff for people of the legal age to enjoy. There'd still be a market for pot; not everyone wants to grow, just like not everyone grows their own veggies or makes their own beer. They *could* but it's a hassle. Doing it for them, providing that service, along with providing a nice peaceful setting to enjoy their vice, that's how we'd make our money.

Yup! That's how it works with home-garden crops!
I'd be able to breed the stuff more effectively outdoors and not have to invest so much into electricity.

Thats a very good point about not having to hide your grow. That might change alot for alot of people. ;)

Out of curiosity, what are your electric bills like, stinky? Mine are about $420 to $450 per month this summer. Eek.

I do definitely have a feeling between the new legal freedom of not having to hide anything and folks that hand it out (and I know there's bunches of you who already do :)) it probably would be a flooded market. :(
Wait....that's not bad..... :D

but i'd have plants everywhere, and sell as much as I could, regardless of what the legal age was. let the people decide how old they need to be.
