I smoked weed for the 1st time about 3 days ago, and I'm still feeling the effects. I am wondering when they will go away, and what are some things I can do the get rid of them.
Here is the whole story. On Thursday I smoked weed for the first time. My friends have been marijuana enthusiasts and I finally decided to try it with them. They got some California chronic. I took 4 somewhat big hits from a pipe around 6 o'clock.
About 5 minutes later I started to feel it. Its really hard to explain, it wasn't the feel good chill out feeling I was expecting. I was forgetting everything right after it happened, but then remembering it seconds later. I think thats the best way I can describe it. It was like a weird dream. At around 8:30, I took 2 small hits because my friend said it would make the high better. It didn't really change it. Later that night I started to feel normal.
I was feeling fine the morning I woke up, but about 2 hours later I was getting this weird feeling. My face felt weird. I could scratch my nose but I couldn't really feel it. It was like the night before but not all crazy and weird, just a strange feeling. This lasted for about 6 hours. It went away for 3 hours and then came back. I went to bed still feeling it.
I woke up the next morning feeling fine. I felt better because I felt more coordinated I guess. In about 3 hours I was feeling it again. It lasted all day. I woke up the next morning still feeling it, and its still going on right now.
The feeling is weird, I can scratch my arm/face, but I only feel my hand, and not what I'm scratching. Sometimes my mouth feels weird, like it doesn't exist. I have trouble tying shoes, I can do it, but it doesn't feel as natural as it should be. I have issues with my pockets too, I've been dropping my wallet/phone when getting them out.
How is this possible? When will it go away? What can I do?

no other drugs, and I'm very serious about this. I'm not freaking out and panicking about this, its kind of neutral right now. But I just want it to go away so I can feel fine driving, etc.

The chances of it being laced is sooo slim. Its all in your head, its a noob thing.
It happens to some first-time users. It will go away, zweely. There is no other way to get rid of it than to let it go away through the passage of time. I assure you, it will go away. Once you've done it more, or if you decide to do it more, this will not happen. Normally you will feel completely sober 4 hours later. The intense part of the high usually ends after an hour, and you slowly start to gain sobriety after a couple hours. Of course, time is different for different people. But there is no way that you would normally feel effects for 3+ days. It's just your tolerance, and your first time experience. Just relax. Maybe drink a lot of water, or something.

THC simply does not have effects that last that long. Most of the THC is converted into non-pharmopsychological metabolites within 8 hours. Its placebo.

I wish there was weed that made that happen.. sorta like getting high for free? I don't know, maybe it's more bad feeling than it sounds, but to me it'd be like a nice suprise.

mehhh chronic is good weed but 3 days, even though the chances of it being laced are slim it could be a possiblity if you still feel it either that or you are noobtastic, as far as ways to "get rid" of the feeling ....why the fuck would you wanna do that ?!

This is actually very common with new tokers. You'll be fine in a week or two. More experienced smokers can completely get over the burnout in a day, while it can linger in a new smoker for a week or two depending on how much was smoked.

yeah i experienced this as a first time toker too...i felt pretty weird for about 6 days, itll go away though, and you'll probably never ever get it again

Even if it was laced, I've never heard of a drug that lasts for 3 days, and I've never heard of a drug that is a potentiator of cannabis that causes THC to be active in the system for 3 days.
You have experienced your first burn-out.
Fauxsho is right, you will most likely not experience it again (no promises, though!). Just be sure to stay well hydrated. You'll return to normal, unless cannabis has brought out some dormant mental illness of yours. Unlikely, though! You're fine. Once this passes, likely within a week or so, make sure you re-dose yourself with some good cannabinoids to accustom yourself to cannabis!
Cheers!

The first time i smoked, i felt this numbness after-effects for almost a week. They were stronger specially when i stayed too much time without eating.
And this year i had a 4-days break (after 2 years of daily use), then smoked some good indica, became COMPLETLY fucked, and felt this after effects again, for some 2 days...
So, i think its a perfectly normal thing. The THC is stored in the fat of the body, so when this fat is burnt (by exercise, or lack of eating), the THC is released again, causing some effects to return.

That's really weird.. If it hasn't gone away already then there might be something wrong with you. But i do know that after tripping for a few days, and even weeks later i still feel kind of dazed from it. So maybe since you got so high you just keep going into what it used to feel like or something.. hopefully it goes away for you.

i have the same thing, if i smoke a lot or if its pretty dank, ill steel feel buzzed the next day. not the nice kind of buzz, the kind where i feel wierd and airheaded. also i still face some short-term memory loss the next day. i usually never smoke before 9pm, so im sure the high stays with me all night through the next morning because im asleep so my brain is more idle. maybe not. but this whole next-day effect thing seems normal.

I would certainly agree with all the replies above me. This happens to me when I take long breaks between smoking (like a month) then come back to it. I always feel lagged out for next two days at least, especially if it some good shit.

smoke again.... it wil help:jointsmile:;)
You are just feeling the after effects. You get a little more tired after smoking weed. Dont worry it will go away. Some people like the aftereffects.. Other people dont..

No...
They are THC metabolites, and exercising won't give you a buzz from them.

my friend complained about how he lost all his memory after his first time smoking, you just aren't used to the altered state, it will go away with time.. no worries

Don't worry about it. After my first time I was feeling a little "off" for a couple days. It will go away, not a big deal. And don't worry, it won't happen every time you smoke.

well. it could very well be laced weed. numbness is a sign of cocaine, crack, meth etc. could of been any one of them. but thats just the numbness and i have never heard of smoke any of them and still being high after 3 days other than pry meth.

almost everytime I smoke late at night, the first half of the next day fells kind of hazey. The sad thing is that I get each night and start the process all over again.
Dont get me wrong, I enjoy the hazey feeling, its relaxing.

Your first time always messes with you, just wait it out, by the week it'll be gone.
I had the same experience my first time, I wasn't "high" but I felt odd for 4-5 days afterwards, almost like a buzz that would not end. Just chill and let it run its course.

you are NOT on any other drugs I think, if it was your first time and it was really good shit like you said, it is entirely possible to experience high level, not normal, crazy shit, it has happened to me before, but it didn't last more than a day:wtf:, so I can really say anything about that but I think you are probably fine:thumbsup:
ps driving while high is in most cases fine IMO, 1000 times safer than driving while drunk

First time I got high, it was sort of what this guy is describing. It was about 5 minutes after smoking, and it was like I blacked out, and then came to realization that I was fucking stoned. After I got used to it, me and all my friends did all the normal stoner shit, only it was funner b/c none of us had been smoking for a while, so it was all pretty new. I stayed high the entire day, and the next day I had a sudden flashback that lasted for a few hours. Over the next few weeks I would have short flashbacks, maybe like 30 mins at a time randomly.
That's the only time it was ever like that though...and I was 13 lol.
