The Process, by Brion Gysin. For those who do not know. Brion Gysin was one of William S. Burroughs' best friends, a painter, writer, sound recordist, poet, and renaissance man. Though he was not really a member of the Beat Generation, he had a great deal of influence on its shape through his work with Burroughs.
The Process is a great semi-autobiographical journey of a Kif smoking professor on grant who is traveling through the hills and deserts of Morocco in search of his identity as a Western black man on the continent of Africa.
